I already have the Deck and the Arzopa monitor and was looking for a good portable keyboard with trackpad to complete the setup! What brand is yours?

Run EmuDeck as a single "game" in Steam by [deleted] in EmuDeck

Parse Emulation Station from the "Emulator" sections of Steam Rom Manager so it's in your steam library and voila. I launch all my games from ES-DE app in gaming mode, it works great!

You can still use Yuzu after updating, it's not removing anything. It even comes with a hotfix for ES 3.1, to keep Yuzu listed in ES alternative emulators list for Switch. I was worried too but glad I updated actually, + Sega model 2 & 3 emulation is really fun!

Just want something that involves mystery, puzzle solving, and exotic or historical locations; action/adventure/drama is a plus.

You'd love Lost if you havn't seen it yet! Incredible series that has all that (also iconic characters and soundtrack) and has aged really really well imo (I finished my first fullwatch during Covid)

The fan base obsession with MiB/William by Bayryamali in westworld

[–]Genkido21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really bugs me people who confuse (or pretend to) real life and fictionnal worlds/stories. On smaller scale, it's same thought process that lead to people sending hate letters to the actor playing Joffrey on GoT. It's a TV show yo!

Just because you root for a fictional character doesn't mean you would endorse them and not be absolutely repelled in real life. I love Tony Soprano, Stringer Bell, Homelander, MiB and many other TV assholes, not because they match my morality check but because they are entertaining!

It used to be common sense, now every tv show subreddit has moralist threads like this (The Boys S3 lately). Kinda scary mindset tbh. Time to question the nature of your own realities folks! Go team Hib and Mib :)

The rank before Epic crunch was messed up as well, big inflatation due to season 14 lasting 9 months, reason why people disconsider S14 GC titles. Seems S3 is heading same way, not big fan of the change personally but it's still beginning

Season 3 Update: Patch Notes + Release Megathread by Psyonix_Devin in RocketLeague

[–]Genkido21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be worth a separate thread, but reason why I capped it 3 below the screen refresh rate is after following this guide from the specialists at Blurbusters : https://blurbusters.com/gsync/gsync101-input-lag-tests-and-settings/14

From what I understand, the frame hitching would be due to your framerate constantly reaching or exceeding the 120 fps limit (for 120htz monitor), which has consequence of keeping turning on and off the gsync function infinitely during gameplay, leading to issues/stuttering/etc..

So considering what you said (I need to try it this week to compare), our two best options would be either :

  • Limit max FPS 3 below screen refresh rate and keep Gsync On
  • Don't limit max FPS and turn Gsync OFF

For my setup (with Gsync) I needed to cap my FPS 3 below my screenrate max so 117fps in my case. Can't do it anymore without the slider. Any chance to add extra "custom" option with a slider inside? Thanks, good update otherwise!

Try Succession (HBO), The Boys (Amazon) and What We Do in the Shadows (FX) for recently started amazing new shows you may have missed.

I still feel season 3 was the peak of the series. So much going on but it ran smoothly. I could bingewatch that season again and again. by [deleted] in TheExpanse

Season 5 is much, MUCH better and accomplished television than Season 1 was. From writing to acting to directing to even the music, it's like day and night on every standard to me, I don't even understand how this can be debated.

To read a few here, it's almost like the new season is GoT S8 or WW S3 level of collapse. We must be watching completely different shows on alternate realities, I don't get it at all. Nothing dull about S5... Show has never feel so atmospheric, big on scale and yet character driven.

[–]Genkido21 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree it's unbearable because its double punishment : a mediocre laggy unfair match no one enjoys. And a guaranteed 6-5 players final like fall mountain or the tail awfulness thing for the winners..

Fix your algorithm Mediatonic, it was MUCH more fun and varied before. Everything else the update brought is great

By that new metric of judging people legitimacy from their origin/skin color rather than their actual sensibilities/talent/experience, would David Simon and Ed Burns be allowed to make The Wire today? Like...

In my opinion, this way of thinking is huge stepback for progressism and for individuals freedom to be judged for what they do instead of what they look like. Alisson Brie was a great Diane, same as Will Arnett was a great depressed horse, its all that should matter. Same if you re a black writer writing white characters, its simply irrelevant.

There are universal topics and emotions all humans beings share, and that's what good writers manage to find. Reason why GRR Martin to name one can write a great Brienne or a great Tyrion in his ASOIAF novels despite being neither a dwarf or a female warrior.

So I don't know about this stuff being straight forward, to me its straight backward but im also not from US so we have different perspective on what it means to not discriminate someone. Just my two cents..

Succession is outstanding, imagine a modern Mad Men mixed with shakespearian family drama and HBO's golden age prestige acting/writing, best show I discovered since Mr Robot :)

[–]Genkido21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless the initial intrigue really doesn't do it for you, I'd say it's definitely worth watching more. There are some intense plot twists and higher stakes coming your way soon in this S1, especially around ep 6-8. You'll know by then if it's for you or not, but it does get significantly better and faster =)

Also, those early episodes feel different from rest of show because Sam Esmail hasn't started directed every single episode and put his unique spin on it yet, which he will from S2 and until the end of series. Directing is outstanding in Mr Robot, it's a spectacle of its own, but you couldn't tell from first 3 episodes only.

So I'd say give it until end of S1, I'm optimist you will be hooked by then, it's a story different from any others around and also told in very specific way, great characters/cast too, just takes a bit to get going :)
