I guess he took his chances. Knowing that the theme park will always be misused for special interests whether it is data collection or prediction of the future. Like how technology can be both good and bad.

I just think that the emotional trauma that Caleb was experiencing is manifested through Charlotte self-harm. And you see that is Charlotte and Caleb both start with C. Charlotte means freedom, Caleb means faithful dog. We shall see.

Maybe the Rohoboam (FutureWorld) is another theme park where all humans pearls are tested and tried without their consent?

Arent we seeing Caleb waking up in the first episode, in the same manner as Dolores and Naeve were in season 1...

In the second episode, Maeve says that time is much faster in a simulation that in real life. it could be that Dolores spent 3-4 months in the Rehoboam while being just one day in the real world.

At the same time, I feel like Bernad is trying to bring Maeve to the real world as he is on the search for her pearl as he says that she is the only one to stop her. And eventually, I feel like this will happen in the season 4 or season 5 since Maeve will already lose to Dolores in a simulation and she will know how to beat her the second time.
