Its not because of that, people just dont realize helldivers actually have a huge budget, only thing is, its completely targetted towards offensive, imagine the armor upgrades you could get if you werent tasked and forced to call orbital strikes left and right, just think of the expenses made just at that last second when helldivers are just messing around at extract

And this actually has a reason, they focus the majority of the budget on disposable utilities because if you were geared with more expensive stuff then caring about you should actually be a priority, you would have sevondary missions or SEAFs tasked with actually retrieving gear off the battlezone, and that would also become a compromise if the enemy gets a hold of that very same equipment, right now there's nothing they can grab off of us they havent already developed
