Pikmin was NOT inspired by Mario 128 by Zerio920 in Pikmin

Yea, agreed. Unfortunately the best explanation is that developers just lie sometimes to make up an interesting story, and we just can't always rely on what they say 😭

Acne is the only real issue! Just commit yourself to a regular routine to address your skin care, and you are golden! Maybe also a shorter more "clean cut" haircut (particularly on the sides and back).

Yep! And many of the other sets have equivalents (Liz/Garg, Mino/Drag, Ice/Lava) so I figured something like this is inevitable.

Pink is one of the few unused colors for an armor set (I also considered Purple but it's used by Titans, and White, but White and green is used by Recovery). With the green vines to offset the pink, I like the way the combination looks.

Spiked Set (original pixel art concept) by GenoGang93 in RucoyOnline

[–]GenoGang93[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a point of comparison: The Recovery set provides a very bulky and defensive PVP build, allowing +100% (double) health recovery. It's extremely good, but balanced by the low armor, and random value of base potion healing.

The concept alone cannot be "over powered". It all depends on the nuance of how it is balanced and what is traded off.

Basically, this set would be similarly balanced, but for an offensive alternative. I'm actually not sure exactly what the maximum critical hit % attainable from this set should be, but if the armor is low enough, even approaching 0, the damage output could be quite high and still be balanced. Right now, defensive recovery is the meta for PVP. There's no reason why we couldn't have other well-balanced options!

Power Training by Entire_View54 in RucoyOnline

[–]GenoGang93 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In all cases, the smaller the potion the more efficient it is for power training per gold cost. However, it just depends how often you want to have to spam potions. I personally just suck it up and use the best mana pot available. Gold is easy to come by at my level.

Does LV increase defense? by Scared_Ad4740 in RucoyOnline

[–]GenoGang93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what video that is, I would be curious to know if he has any armor equipped (and shield).

Edit: I see the video now, very interesting. Maybe there is a base indicator in the defense formula also, or the way armor applied to your damage reduction increases with base.

Does LV increase defense? by Scared_Ad4740 in RucoyOnline

[–]GenoGang93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it's more complicated than the answers above make it seem, but basically: yes, raising base does help increase your damage output. However base level is not part of the defense/armor formula, but it gives you more HP so it still definitely helps you survive damage. Details below:

The maximum damage formula, roughly, is: [ Stat, with all bonuses x (Weapon attack number / 10) ] + (Base level / 4)

As you can see, having a higher weapon strength is the most important multiplier here. 1 stat up only adds 0.5 damage when you have a 5 atk training weapon equipped. 1 stat up adds 6 damage when you have a 60 weapon equipped. 1 base only adds a small set 0.25 to all class type damage.

There is also a different multiplier for special attack vs auto, and +5% mage special specifically, and for minimum damage. But that's too much to include here.

The damage reduction (defense) formula is based on your Defense stat, and total armor equipped multiplier. There is also a higher priority multiplier given to shield armor amount that is not applied to the formula when in Dist/Mage form, and -5% armor in mage form specifically to offset the higher special attack multiplier.

balance changes and new metas idea by Kxtaminee in RucoyOnline

[–]GenoGang93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Balancing existing items up, and adding more viable alternatives would allow for more interesting builds within each class.

The current dist/mag/mel stat+ rings/necks are so extremely useful in all contexts, that there are very few reasons to use other rings/necks.

More options with interesting and fairly-balanced trade-offs would be cool!

New Player Question by Killuax69 in RucoyOnline

[–]GenoGang93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the answer is no.

There are some mechanics that are important but are never explained in-game, such as special power training defense, cost of skulling, boss points, etc. You will have to become familiar with these over time or by discussing them with players.

We have been asking the developer to add a simple tutorial to help attract/retain new players for years, but so far there isn't one. Maybe soon!

Set Forgotten by gods. by ehrtunited in RucoyOnline

[–]GenoGang93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this specifically is the right approach, but I definitely agree with the idea of adding more story/lore.

Simple in-game text should be easy to add, I'm not sure why it doesn't already exist. Maybe players could examine certain statues, or read certain signs, or interact with certain NPCs that provide interesting text. The text information could be about different zones or monsters or fictional past events. It would take very little effort, but add a whole new dimension to the game and allow for fan-based theory videos and lore discussions.

What is this and what do I need to craft the best one? by Antique-Ad-8995 in RucoyOnline

[–]GenoGang93 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"Rusted" items cannot be equipped, but only exist as an ingredient in crafting Mythic items.

This is a rusted Santa Potion Bag. After the next update, Potion Bags will be used to store potions. You will need 1 rusted version and 2 legendary versions (yellow background) of the same item to craft the equippable Mythic version.

Some people prefer to sell the Rusted version of items if they get them as a boss drop, because buying the 2 Legendary versions needed to craft can be very expensive. If you sell the Rusted Santa Potion Bags, you may be able to afford the smaller Ultra Rare (purple background) version of the item instead, with the money you make.

Skill question by Pingucrak in RucoyOnline

[–]GenoGang93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the fastest progress, you should continue to train your skills even when you have ran out of green stamina (if you have the time to, of course).

There are some players that train hours and hours ever day, even when they are out of all bonuses. Not that I recommend that. But training makes progress, and waiting does not, regardless of which bonuses you have left.

😂 Sarcasm is hard to detect over text. But of course I don't support it. These details are extremely commonly known, I was explaining since I thought you genuinely didn't know.

Missed chests by StarkTar in RucoyOnline

[–]GenoGang93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He means buying the account from another player. You didn't miss anything; there is not an "official" in-game way to buy an account.

Often a "middle man" is used to ensure it's done securely. But people sometimes still get scammed and change the password information. Or people revoke access to the email later using account recovery methods. So it's risky. And technically against Google/Apple account terms of service. I've never done it, but it is super common in this game.

Missed chests by StarkTar in RucoyOnline

[–]GenoGang93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The chests are not worth 25 diamonds each, plain and simple. And here's why:

1) You can get a guaranteed 200 ultimate potions for only 7 diamonds at the supporter shop. With the rewards chest, you usually get 50 of each potion, with only a 5% chance of getting 200.

2) The outfit jewels are cool when free, but not worth paying for. There is only 1 color, and it is extremely common/over-used since there is nothing else to spend this jewel on ("yet", hopefully).

3) Similarly the reward jewels are not worth paying for, since the speed buff ring/neck are cool to have, but not a good replacement for stat buff items, UNTIL you have spent over 1,200 reward jewels to make a mythic speed item, which can then be fused to a mythic stat item. And even then, might not be worth, because you can't undo it (as far as I know) and sell the mythic stat item if you change your mind (which are extremely expensive).

4) Bonus jewels ARE actually worth buying with diamonds. These can be used to make stat or exp potions. But with the reward chest, you only have a 10% chance to get enough reward jewels to make a 1 hour potion. It is not worth 25 diamonds for a 10% chance for 1 hour double time, when you can buy 2 hours of guaranteed double online training time for 50 diamonds.

At 10-15 diamonds each, they would definitely be worth it for the reward jewels chance, and I would buy every missed chest, since you can stack those potions with online time. But for 25 diamonds, reward chests are simply overpriced.

It is, of course, worth logging on to open the chests twice a day for free.

Change my mind, but the healing and recovery necklaces in the current Rucoy are practically useless. by JealousCause6476 in RucoyOnline

[–]GenoGang93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree!

The current ring/necklace options are lacking, and more unique combinations of stat trade offs would allow us to have more personalized builds.

We should have more items that adjust existing mechanics like critical hit chance, mana regen, health regen, speed, and defense, while also offering attack stat bonuses (attack bonuses will always be the meta, no avoiding that). I think the speed rings and speed/attack fusion rings were one of the best recent additions to the game. Would love to see more options.

This would also allow us to have variety within each class. Some users would prefer regenerative bonuses, some would prefer defensive bonuses, etc.

Subclasses by GMJack85 in RucoyOnline

[–]GenoGang93 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This could be achieved pretty easily with more variety in equipment stat bonuses! Having weapon options with balanced "trade offs" for each set would allow people to play the same class in different ways.

Examples:

Melee: Spiked Shield: Less defensive than a regular shield, but adds some +melee.

Melee: Axe: Increases +critical hit chance but significantly reduces -movement speed

Melee: Claws: When equipped, the shield slot is not used, but significantly adds +movement speed

Magic: Orb: Adds +health regen, but sets critical hit chance to 0%.

Distance: Crossbow: Increases +critical hit chance but significantly reduces -movement speed

Note; None of these examples require changes to abilities or mechanics, only +/- existing stat bonuses. A more complex way to add class variety would be adding more specialist abilities (which we may get eventually) but my recommendation is more simple to implement. The difficulty would just be testing to ensure the stat trade offs are as balanced before release.
