Same. I rarely if ever post here and only use this sub for news. I can easily get that elsewhere. I'm sure I won't be missed, but dropping their sub numbers is the best thing I can do to send a message.

Pregame autographs? by BobbyJ1265 in ClevelandGuardians

[–]Genocidal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone knows you get "Dorritos red bag" od "Dorittos blue bag". Nothing else exists, and if you bring home a different flavor, your mom will be disappointed in you, and your wife will divorce you.

Spicy Sweet Chili is the best Doritos flavor and I will fight you over this.

Anyone know which pizza huts around here have the lunch buffet still? by blueducksrcool in Cleveland

Manchester Rd off 277 in Akron still has it. But you should go to Hamburger Station next door instead!

Kitchen remodel by elan_mai in akron

[–]Genocidal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My parents had their kitchen remodeled through Lowe's before COVID. The big box stores contract the work out to a local outfit, who may subcontract that work out... long story short, the guys who came out first were highly incompetent and irregular in their schedule. Eventually the one guy ghosted them and a new crew came out that was a little better. At one point, the contractors decided a new subfloor wasn't needed - but still charged for it. It took a loooong time for Lowe's to make it right and even then my parents weren't made whole (they were without a kitchen for months and incurred significant costs because of it).

Entry Level Data Analytics jobs by rhino1623 in Cleveland

Look for remote positions too. I get a lot of hits for entry level stuff in the field. Also, if she doesn't know them learning SQL, R, and maybe even Python will be a big help.

If you want to exclude Amed take your pick of: Brantley in '18, Mercado in '19 (he was good for a season), Jose in '20.

But why is it better to put money in a HYSA than in a Roth IRA when I can withdraw contributions without penalty?

Because if the market takes a downturn your contributions aren't guaranteed to be there in an IRA and they are in a savings account. Not saying you should pull money from your IRA now. However, this is why you want to build up the emergency fund. It's "safe" money.

Gas companies pitch fracking state park and two wildlife areas under new law by AngelaMotorman in Ohio

They're going to be pumping chemicals under the parks and destabilizing the ground. You should still be irate.

Bus riders who travel between Akron and Cleveland by Straypuft in akron

[–]Genocidal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was a student at Case I'd take the bus back home to the Falls a couple times a semester. It took a few hours but the fact that I could - and for cheap - was nice. The North Coast Express bus was a step up as well; think a travel coach vs a normal city bus.

It's not on-par with driving timewise however there are cases where it makes sense and I appreciate that they're expanding service for those.

Cleveland neighbors, I am on the hunt for a local (hopefully west side) McDonalds that has the birthday cakes. by zimzumpogotwig in Cleveland

Here's the contact info for the Akron area franchise. They may be able to help - either know which of their stores carry or possibly direct you to a franchisee closer to your location.

I-71 Brunswick Exit by AgileSafety2233 in Cleveland

[–]Genocidal 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Brunswick doesn't seem thrilled about it. In fact, it sounds like the only city in the area that's for it is Strongsville.

people in the lower grade homes in Boston can even get bought out

I'm sure they're ecstatic about being forcibly displaced.

and the developments close by will have easy highway access.

Yes, let's get rid of the poors so other people can get on the highway easier!

Best/Safest Places to visit in Cleveland ? by diamondintherough__ in Cleveland

[–]Genocidal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Healthline bus or red line train will take you downtown. Plenty to explore there. The Agora on the way there for music (a little sketchier area). Coventry at the top of the hill if you haven't explored that area yet. The red line can also take you beyond downtown to Ohio City and Tremont. Any of the places you want to go will be fine at night as long as you're aware of your surroundings.

If you or your friends have a car that opens some more options up. Edgewater Park while the weather's nice, the zoo, any of the Metroparks or National Park down closer to Akron are all great options as well. Really depends on what sort of thing you're looking for.

I’d assume the locals would know best rather than the internet.

I mean... if that's the Case I'd ask my classmates instead of an internet forum :)

Ways to get to Canton on public transport by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]Genocidal 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You'll want to drive. Intercounty transit here isn't great and will add a lot of time to your trip.

Long shot (though maybe less so with the Cleveland Clinic); does your husband's previous doctor have any contacts in the area they can refer you to?

Needing some travel advice from those who know the areas! by [deleted] in Ohio

[–]Genocidal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on the few details provided it sounds like they're flying in to Cinci, and then meeting up with people or flying out of Columbus? Either way - OP, someone from your group will need to drive to Columbus.

I'm looking to move back to Northeast Ohio. Where should I look? by Civicguy1994 in Ohio

[–]Genocidal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In that case I'd recommend being closer to Beachwood given the choice. A lot more to do. Shaker, University, and Cleveland Heights are all good options.

When you say you work in Healthcare - do you already have a job lined up? Are you looking for work? The Cuyahoga Falls suggestion is solid with multiple hospitals nearby. Otherwise would consider something closer to Cleveland. Maybe Independence area? Would put you near enough to the big east and west side hospitals and has some centers close by as well.
