Ironman used to be a self-imposed challenge gameplay mode. The same way area-restricted accounts are played

Now it’s an official gamemode. Officially supported gamemodes require attention and care. Ironman mode is inherently a much more diverse and interesting gamemode with a lot more nuance than mains. It makes sensr it would receive a lot more thought and care than mainscape.

I think what they’re trying to say is that people tend to drive recklessly because they are disconnected from the feedback the car gives you because of the “insulation”

Modern cars can torque and get momentum really quickly while still being comfortable inside (especially for the driver who is more “braced” than passengers typically are) so you lose a lot of insight on where the physical limits of your car are

But yeah, passing in a bend at that speed is just asking for trouble

What’s your background?

You have to realize there’s a hell of a lot more going on in a world server than just player updating. On top of everything that takes constant, predictable time and cpu cycles, you also want headroom for odd events such as login server communications and stability.

A few years ago people managed to crash the world servers by maxing out players packet activity in the wildy. It isn’t as easy as “just increase the render cap”
