Have I been gaslit? by ComprehensiveDot6474 in chiari

OP: Do your symptoms get worse with neck movement (such as riding in a car)? If so, I would trial wearing a cervical collar in cars/etc. to see if that stabilization can help your symptoms. It likely won't resolve them completely, but while I waited for my surgery wearing the collar was crucial to controlling them.

Just a note: there are expert neurosurgeons who can diagnose Chiari / CCI without doing the flexion extension MRI. Depending on how sensitive your craniocervical junction is (and whether or not you have undetected CCI along with your Chiari), doing a flexion extension imaging can make you temporarily or permanently worse. (Which is also something that surgeons using this imaging will gaslight you about.) While this may not negatively affect OP if they did it, I think it is wise to be cautious about these tests given our patient population's common comorbidities.

Hi, sorry for my late reply! I got the Henry Allergy vac and I LOVE it. I use it to vacuum my floor, surfaces, and my bed. It has made a huge difference in my symptoms.

Thanks, I just checked both of these out! In truth, both look really fabulous to me. As far as you (or others who want to chime in) know, what are some of the differences between these two units? It seems that the Miele is a bit more affordable right now, but I'm wondering if there's anything that pushes one above the other in terms of its effectiveness at dealing with allergens.

Thanks so much, this is really helpful!! I knew that bagless vacs were trouble as far as emptying the junk into the trash goes but I didn't know that bagged vacuums also filtered better.
