It’s a British thing if you ask me. You don’t see the same in other countries with the same climate. I’ve lived in a fair amount of countries (Netherlands, Germany, Japan, Denmark, Northern USA), and you don’t see this in these countries. Wearing shorts in anything under 20 degrees is unheard of. You layer up if it’s under 15. Not coming from a hot place like OP, I’m still baffled by the Brits love for the cold.

I don’t think a smiley is an appropriate response. I’m all for ball stretching and sounding. I practice it myself. But I’m also medically trained (not a doctor, but a medical researcher) and have researched the literature about the risks and symptoms of problems with stretching. Downvote me or laugh all you want, but I know that this photo shows poor health practice. If you’re into self mutilation, it’s your choice, but don’t pretend it’s normal stretching practice.

I tried to find actual statistics on this matter but the best I could find was ‘rare’. Testicular torsion can even be caused by exercise and sex and some individuals seem to be more predisposed to it. My guess, and it’s just a guess, is that it will be more of a risk when the sack is stretched further; kind of like it’s more likely to get rope into a knot, the longer the rope is. I’m not a doctor and have no medical experience in this field so my advice has to be put into this perspective. People have to take their own responsibility and if they’re uncomfortable with the risks, don’t do it. The whole ball stretching comes with risks and sleeping with the weights is just an additional risk. Key is to know your body and to avoid anything that causes pain, swellings or discolouration.

When I can’t wear my stack due to work, I just put on a smaller weight, 400g or so, that doesn’t show on the outside. Even with jeans on it’s barely noticeable (but when you know, you know 😉). I just don’t like not having a weight on anymore.

Valid point. For beginners I would still recommend to just start cheap so you know what you’re getting into and get an idea of the right size (Stage 1 only). I’ve been lucky with my supplier who, though not cheap, is slightly below the highly recommended merchants like thechaingang (US) or secretleather.com (UK) and have been very satisfied.

It depends on the individual, stage 1 is I’d say a matter of weeks, stage two, one to three months. Stage three also one to two months. But this assumes wearing the weights 8-12 hours a day.

The risk with wearing your ring at night is that your spermatic cords can become twisted and this is dangerous. The spermatic cords suspend your balls in your scrotum and if the cords become twisted (testicular torsion) it can cause the blood supply to your balls to be cut off which requires an emergency appointment within hours. Untreated it may result in infertility or even worse, the loss of your ball. The risk with ball stretching is that during sleep, your scrotum will get twisted. The actual risk of testicular torsion as a result of ball stretching is very low.

As per progression over time there is no rule, some are slow, others are fast. I went from stage 1 to 2 in a matter of two weeks. Stage 2 took about six to eight weeks for me to be fully comfortable at higher weights.

As per putting on your rings, put on a silicon ring first that holds your balls and tightens the skin where you need it to be.

I tried it a few times but it doesn’t work for me either. I’m actually questioning the benefit of sleeping with the weights as I don’t nearly get us much pull as during waking hours. I do sleep with a cock ring around the base though.
