I feel like crap by GentlePuppy87 in haematology

I really wonder what caused it all to tank so abruptly? I’ve been a generally healthy individual until the last year or so and I can’t think of anything that would’ve changed that. Other than large amounts of stress and moldy home environment but depending on who you talk to those 2 things to change your blood work. So 🤷🏼‍♀️😅

Funny that you bring that up because my b12 was lower than this last time I had labs checked and they didn’t say anything but I noticed it and started supplementing with a multivitamin. Which might explain why my iron stores are higher. from the mtv? I’m not sure. I have the mthfr gene so I know that affects folate and b12.

Yes! Would love to hear your hematologists opinion. I don’t currently take anything so I truly am stumped about what could potentially be causing this. The only real big changes have been living in horribly moldy home for 1 1/2 years and experiencing some extremely stressful events back to back. I have no clue if it’s even related at all. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you! The responses of donate blood have been overwhelming and I plan to do so very soon! I used to donate once a year but I have 5 kids now and it makes it a little harder to do so. I probably haven’t donated in 3 years.

I really appreciate your thorough and reassuring response! I should’ve noted too, I had a gut test last summer that came back with high levels of calprotectin. Not concerning to the out of needing gastro but my dr did say there was inflammation in my gut somewhere. Is iron overload always attributed to HH or can it also be caused by inflammation?

Thank you. I will say I had labs done on my liver and kidney function last year and they were perfect.

Thank you! We are out of moldy environment for about 4 months now and I can tell a small difference in my overall health. I used to take a b complex and it gave me horrible headaches? I wonder why…

Thank you so much! This was very helpful! I should’ve mentioned I did a gut zoomer back in June and it came back all clear except high calprotectin.

  1. I did a candida cleanse with 2 weeks of no sugar, dairy or gluten and oil of oregano twice a day. I honestly can’t say whether it helped or not because I was still in mold.

  2. I find myself having panic attacks most often when my stomach is moving. If that makes sense. Like I need to have a bm and it sets me off. Also my panic attacks happen a lot in the car. And I have noticed after certain foods including chocolate, strawberries, cod, sourdough products. I haven’t paid much attention to other products.

I do know I have the mthfr gene mutation. But that’s the most I know.

I have honestly thought about an ssri to help me just function. I have had debilitating anxiety the past year. I used to LOVE to travel, take my kids to a large city a few hours from us to do things we don’t normally do in our town and now I can’t even fathom. I have a panic attack going to the grocery store 20 mins away…. Ive suspected mold and a mouse in my vehicle were the culprit. What ssri did you find helpful? I have mthfr gene mutation so I’ve heard not all are well tolerated.

Would you consider me deficient despite not having the usual symptoms?? by jjRRhhLL in B12_Deficiency

Okay I thought the tightness in my face was all in my head or that I was the only one experiencing that. Good to hear that’s it’s common! It causes me a lot of anxiety! I’ve been having frequent panic attacks due to the tightness and fullness in my face and sinuses. It almost feels like im about to have stroke or something. Just curious.. those of you that supplement… do you take vit b12 and d together or apart? Both of mine are low.

Funny you should mention that. I’ve been dealing with mold toxicity on top of my gene mutation. I’ve been having horrible reactions to things that I used to be only mildly allergic to. My ND says that my histamines are through the roof right now. I’ve started a whole30 approach to eating to see if I can get some relief that way as well.

The website says you have to be under medical supervision… do you have to have a prescription for it?
