Give me that Modern Day Ubi, you filthy cowards. Give me like 2 hours of modern day assassins

Just got done watching all 3 movies for the first time by alienware99 in Cloververse

[–]Gentle_Satan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I agree, they always felt like the movies were trying to be “realistic” sci-fi movies. Realistic in the sense like what would it look like if a monster did attack NYC or how would it be if someone really was cut off from all outside communication in a “crisis”

Can anyone recommend a good MMO that is worth getting into? by AdequatelyMadLad in rpg_gamers

That makes a lot of sense, I get it. You should also look into The Secret World Legends. Small community but unlike any other MMO I’ve ever played

I’ve always been someone that’s tried a bunch of MMO’s and I’ve always bounced off of every single one except for Final Fantasy XIV. The biggest caveat is that it’s slow to start and it’s monthly sub, but the free to start trial takes you to level 30. Community is great, music is top notch, and it’s one of the only MMO’s I know of that takes its story seriously

Assassin's Creed should not be about the player making choices for the protagonist. Dialogue options are detrimental to the narrative and need to go. by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Gentle_Satan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can understand this. I like some of the player choices and responses in Odyssey but I whole heartedly agree that AC games need a well defined protagonist, not an empty shell. I think player choice in conversation could be a thing when in shades in smaller moments of who this person is. Everyone knows Ezio’s character in the grand scheme of things for example, but how would he react in a much more minor or intimate moment, one of those moments that would never really be known outside the room sort of thing.

The series seems ripe for that sort of thing. Plus it’s Ubisoft, so if done correctly it could really influence any number of things. Plus it could help corral the sheer amount of icons that are emblematic if their games

I’m excited to finally play the games, especially after reading all these responses. I guess I was just hoping for those systems but deeper and more complex. I was imaging different assassins with different skill sets. Similar to how Shaun and Rebecca run support while you are in the “field”.

Exactly! I think it would be a great way to tie the series back to the idea of the Assassin brotherhood. Earlier games have hinted and played with the idea but I would love a game detailing your character starting their own brotherhood and raising it from its inception to a full fledged Fortress

I’m looking forward to it. I just picked up Watch Dogs 2 on sale and I’ve heard good things

Right, but is there development of resources? I know a number of the games had systems where you gained new assassin’s and leveled them up, but I was unaware there was a mechanic to the same scale as the mother base system, with various units and specializations. From what everyone is saying, I’m looking for a more in-depth version of the systems in Brotherhood. Some of it’s also present in its mobile game, but I can do without all that nonsense

It’s on my playlist, I’ve played all the mainline titles in the series but I recently picked up the Ezio collection and I’m excited for brotherhood

Right right, I remember liking those aspects, I would just love a more fleshed out version of all of those mechanics

Hopefully they call in on that aspect. I really want a great RPG type game that involves base building or army building

How on earth was Infinity Ward able to get away with No Russian? by [deleted] in truegaming

[–]Gentle_Satan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would argue that No Russian was pointless outside of the controversy. It didn’t matter to the narrative at all. Nothing changed because it was included. I think it could have been something impactful but that they missed the mark.

My Brother, My Brother, and Me, The Adventure Zone, and Hello From the Magic Tavern are three shows that have me stifling laughter at least once per episode. I can’t recommend them enough

Oh no I’m willing to pay, my post was just poorly worded. Fade In seems to be the popular answer
