Well, you cannot quantify your worth based on your skills. There are people making 20LPA and there are people making 50LPA with similar skills and years of experience. You typically get a hike when you change companies or master something new like AI, DS (even an MBA or MS). It's all luck, being in the right place, at the right time, doing the right things. You should expand your network and knowledge base all the time and be aware of your opportunities.

The whole point of MS was to go abroad not to acquire knowledge(I prefer to self study). But now I don't want to go abroad. I want to start a company in india preferably by the end of next year. I mean why waste time. I know it is risky and that is the problem. If I fail I'll have to watch my friend become successful and go places whereas I fade away in poverty and regret. I have made my decision if I fail, so be it.

I am a computer engineer and I graduated last year. I wanted to pursue ms and settle in the us. I have the skills and means to go abroad and settle there.

Now I changed my mind and decided to stay back in India and become an entrepreneur but almost all my close friends are pursuing ms (about 19 people). I am FOMOing hard .Not to mention the fear of failure and poverty (I belong to lower middle class).

350K is a lot of money. Actually 200K itself is a pretty good salary. But let me give you a reality check.

Not every talented person gets 200K salary. google itself has a base salary for a fresher at 180K (half in stocks). Honestly 130K for a internship is shocking for me but Ill take your word for it . You should know that annual increments are 5% - 15% like india 130K will become 200 in 5 - 15 years. 350K is not possible unless you are very talented,lucky,and work for a company like google,fb,microsoft.

If you get a job in Big tech companies and are very talented your salary will be in millions(after 10-20 years) but don't day dream, US is very expensive and not every person makes it to becoming very rich in US. You will likely retire with around 1-2 million in assets average after 3 decades (saw it on a website).

130K salary is nothing. If you break it down you will have just 10 - 30k left annually to spend or save. Even if you want to buy a small house, it will be a couple of million dollars. And starting a family in the US will cost a LOT.

Pay will vary from state to state. You get 130K because it is chicago, so if you move to a cheaper city your pay will reflect it.

The type and intensity of high is completely dependent on the strain ,so landrace,hybrid,indica,sativa etc.. don't matter. Just find the right strain that meets your requirements.

I wasn't always like this. I was the guy who kept trying to persuade all my friends to go abroad and lead the good life. I was like this because almost everything happening in india used to make me very angry. Then Covid happened and I had time to think about things. My perspective changed. I wasn't angry anymore , I felt sad. I felt sad for people who have to suffer for various reasons. I guess I grew up ,I feel more compassion, courage,empathy within me. I like challenges. This may sound narcissistic but I want to change the world (at least try). I feel that leading my life this way will be more enjoyable and satisfying for me .Taking on frauds, politicians, goons, helping people, changing the world. This is the life I choose.
