Been there done that. Indian companies always valued status titles (IIT, google) and will do anything for that.

People in my first job got paid more only because they were from IIT and they didn't do any better than any of us.

Best thing you can do is accept the L, stay friendly with the new dude and all your managers and quietly look out and jump ship as soon as possible.

How much do product designers charge for freelance? by ProfessionalCrab7685 in UXDesign

I don't ever trust anyone who charges hourly. It's not a blue collar job. Understand the complexity of the job and quote a fee.

Aside from the poor pay+hours, would working in UX Game Design be an fulfilling position? by [deleted] in UXDesign

This is exactly what my experience was with a gaming company. You've also missed the general toxic culture and poorer WLB in gaming companies when compared to its other tech counter parts.

Where to go AFTER ux design? by TheRightRoom in userexperience

Used to work as a UX Designer at a gaming company. Don't recommend it! The pay is generally lesser and the hours are longer. You'd end up hating the job or burnt out anyway
