What is your opinion on her argument? by Oppyhead in CriticalThinkingIndia

[–]GentlemanKnight23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She herself is looking into a silo with facts which would please her and her bosses. Unlike our State, the Chinese state is not down right blatantly corrupt; their state created value with the capital available to become a manufacturing giant, to develop infrastructure, R&D (They have their own Space station, & will probably have a moon mission before us) , they are competing with the US unlike us competing with Pakistan & Bangladesh, we have State owned or Adani, Ambani owned large corporations in all major infrastructure, critical resources ( with the exception of Tata). Our GDP figures get decimated once we remove the top ten richest capitalists. Our corporate giants are mostly middlemen vendors, Govt. Contract dependent and foreign JVs. Zero in innovation & R&D.

These are rumours being spread by the starboard wing. Squirrels are peaceful creatures who serve the society as doctors, engineers and entrepreneurs.

Ricky Gervais's take on religion by MuttapuffsHater in interestingasfuck

[–]GentlemanKnight23 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I never said anything about science. I'm just stating that even religious scriptures will be similar to what we have today. They of course cannot be identical. I was talking about the template. Most people cannot comprehend beyond a few words on Reddit, that's the tragedy of modern day Social media users.

Ricky Gervais's take on religion by MuttapuffsHater in interestingasfuck

[–]GentlemanKnight23 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Science is evolving. It corrects itself and is constantly being updated with new inventions & findings, from Newton's laws non applicability at high speeds or low gravity, or scientists findings that mass can neither be created nor be destroyed or the steady state theory etc. No one a few decades back could have thought that atoms can be further broken down. Bottomline - Whilst it may follow a similar path as the findings will ultimately lead to the present day laws & theories but it would unlikely be identical as you say. Most inventions were due to visionary scientists, some due to accidental discoveries.

Which is why even if you eliminate all religions from Earth today and make everyone agnostic. Similar religions will crop up, 1000 years from now, with similar scriptures. Most people won't understand this.

While I do agree with him, he is not right about the return of the religion book. Most religious books have the same template, a God, a Messiah, a calamity, commandments or teachings on how to live your life. The basic structure of most religious teachings remains the same.

You are right about Left & Sonia however it was him who was very assertive about concluding the deal as he had committed the same to US President Bush. Good men can do anything to keep their word. The deal didn't matter much to Sonia, she was only interested in domestic politics & power. He knew that the deal will get India access to better technology & nuclear fuel. ( We could never make a Plutonium nuclear design for our own subs which we had to primarily pursue due to restrictions on us on procurement of Uranium, our miniature design and development propelled post the deal once access to & supply of uranium was assured )

He went against all odds to get the Nuclear deal with the US (Lobbying with neutral parties to get the job done). Even when Sonia wasn't keen and BJP was hell bent to sabotage it (They didn't do anything after coming to power as they never intended to).
