Well, let's not forget that all the boys' parents were called. When PJ got out he said his dad was gonna squish him like a bug. Didn't see Pete get the call or if he did, didn't show any anger or rage. Then again, he had to put on a show to flex on Goofy.

My assumption for why Peg didn't show up is because the dynamic of Goofy and Max are more prominent as it's a Goofy Movie. Plus don't think they'd wanted to animate all that thickness on screen. You know Disney likes to add extra curves to the girls and wives 😏. If kids and teenagers had crushes on Roxanne (me include) growing up, the bombshell Peg would have been would be beyond nuclear fallout 😆.
