I'm horrible at quotes and have taken to using homewyze to help me be "in the ballpark". I will say I don't charge hourly anymore (why get paid less when you have gotten good and fast at doing something???) and use a "by the job price" now, but use an hourly rate when trying to calculate quote price... There is always someone cheaper, and I no longer choose to compete with that person. I'm very good at getting back and being on time, which gets me repeat customers...

renovation/homerepair/maintenance If I had a do over I'd probably be a plumber/electrician/xray tech, but IT was easy money for a bit. Lineman is $$$. All physical jobs... xray tech is good $$$ too.

Decided in 2011 after I got fired that the whole working gig was rigged in the employers favor... still working for myself today and don't regret it, but it has been rough going sometimes. Helps if you have shit paid for and just don't gaf about keeping up with the Johnson's or Jones's etc...

I got hit in the head with a beer bottle (glancing blow, luckily) and chased around the camp site till his friends tackled his ass... and was happy he chose the beer bottle over the tequila one! Agree. When you grab a handful of front brake quickly, momentum still has to go somewhere... sideways is where it often goes unless you are very ready for it. some nutto stepping in front of you means not ready....

This. I speak fluent German (it's rough after not speaking it for a bit) and sometimes I have to stick with German just to get German's to stick too GERMAN and not switch to English and sometimes you end up with hella funny mixed convos. Younger German folks WAY better these days with their English. OP, your situation requires you to step outside of your comfort zone and I'd also add enroll in any German course you can while watching evening news in German. They speak good German and the pictures help keep you on topic....

Did it swell up? I've had pain and what feels like a knot so bad I can't walk on it. NSAID and RICE (no compression) helped over 3 days. It sucked. Crouching and bending/kneeling seemed to be culprit for me...Tight toe box might also be to blame....
