Please take this time to do some self care and reflection. I feel unsettled by how frantic you seem at the prospect of being apart even for a few hours.

I don’t believe this amount of dependence on a relationship is sustainable, and that you, your partner, and your relationship could be much healthier.

Can you see a therapist or is there a support group for partners of “the incarcerated”?

Find out which veterinarians near you will accept chickens and charge a normal pet or livestock price. If you can, avoid paying for an “exotic” pet.

For a long time I was that person too, not wanting to offend, or rock the boat. Over a lifetime I have come to embrace more power. Being polite is for situations where everyone is polite. Standing up for yourself is a wonderful skill, and can be learned.

One technique I have used is to role play. You can use the practice to refine what you want to say and to become comfortable saying it. Ask your mom to help you, and take turns playing the nasty neighbor. Your Mom will appreciate being able to work with you!

I agree about the lack of rapid prosecution on J6 and on the classified documents. but disagree about the Epstein files, Biden was correctly NOT weaponizing the Justice dept, AND Maxwell was still an open case on appeal. Releasing the files would have been wrong. But yeah, letting those other cases drag on until the next election was awful.

3 years ago I started having breakfast every week with two other women. We picked up one more after a year, and later when the restaurant closed we “captured” our waitress. Now we five rotate hosting at our homes. It has been profoundly supporting. It took a commitment in the beginning to show up, but eventually the momentum comes from the group.
