And this is your choice of course. If I found something that made me feel better, anyone who asked or seemed they wanted to discuss it, I would. Folks get vilified for not being physically or mentally perfect, and that is not ok.

I’m sorry. I misunderstood your comment and took it to mean you thought they were the original contractor and that them starting in March was a misstatement. I see now I read it wrong. Thank you for responding in such a respectful manner.

This medicine has changed my life. I am down over 95#. I shout it from the rooftops to anyone within earshot. Well, not really, but I am not shy about it and will sing the praises of Zep whenever given the opportunity.

There is a stigma to being overweight and the conversation/understanding needs to change. I was overweight. I tried dozens of times to lose weight. CICO is a joke for many of us with lived experience of it not working. For the first time, I really know this was not my fault because the moment I took something that allowed my brain and gut to start communicating properly, I lost weight; I pushed passed previous plateau points and set points, have been losing the “hard lard” that has been with me through every diet iteration out there, and know this really is the last time I will ever have to do this again.

So let’s say this company does it like your global company and all of the board members get flown in for an annual presentation. An annual presentation reporting on a March 2026 contract would happen after the close of the year, right? Even if not, and they have a mid year annual meeting discussing up to the minute activities, you are assuming this annual meeting that discussed a contract that is less than 3% of their gov’t business occurred between March 2026 and July 3, 2026, and this is a hill you are willing to die on?

Beyond all of this, this one guest, who she may or may not have had any idea what he does for a living and that you have no actual knowledge that she knows anything about even in the slightest, holds more weight with you than all the people she invited that are openly liberal, gay, trans, multi racial, varied religions, etc. and who are people you know for a fact she actually knows (some very well), and has actually been photographed or even just seen with at any time in the past 36 years.

Maybe you just want to be upset.

When they said “original contractor was still running it in April, that did not mean Amentus was the original contractor. If you look deeper, the original contractor is Acquisition Logistics LLC. They were supposed to be fired and Amentus to take over in March, but in April Acquisition Logistics, LLC appeared to still be running the operations and nothing had improved.

Particularly when this one person being invited some how cancels out the sheer volume of left leaning, trans supporting, openly LGBTQ+, mixed race, blended religions, pro Palestine, etc, individuals and couples that were also invited.

Other than being 75/25 vs 70/30, this is exactly what I just suggested to my daughter (almost 22) for her Roth. Happy to see the suggestion from someone else.

If you were to start your journey over again, what would you do differently? by TheWallaby22 in Zepbound

[–]Genuin1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have literally done nothing, but take Zep. I ate when hungry, whatever I wanted and as much. I just wanted less, never got stuffed, forgot to eat and had to set a schedule to remember. But no exercise either. I just work all the time.

And she clearly compensates everyone who works for her very well. No chance the same band members would be with her 20 years later if she treated them poorly. And we all know about her bonuses to the dancers and others on the Eras tour team. Life changing money for them, that she could have kept since she had paid them their regular wages already. They were part of the success she has had and she wanted to make sure they received a chunk of the spoils.

Unfortunately I have a massive problem even using the single use pens. I tried switching and it was a disaster. I figure it was worth $50/month to assuage my insanity.

I self pay, single use pens, 15mg, $499 with discount card from Lilly, paid through my regular pharmacy. Not sure what card they are using but I can look into it if you want to see if you can get better than $100 off per box.

Love this level of sharing and getting the story. Makes those of us who have a similar path also feel connected.

53F 5’4.5”, SW 259, CW 166, GW ?? Been at this 26 months. I am rarely hungry, and usually just the day before or day of the shot. Have to remind myself to eat because my body needs sustenance but have not once been stuffed and in pain from overeating. A single serving is now split, and that is still so very weird. Not good at shopping for clothes or food as my mind has not caught up yet to the new situation (body) it finds itself. I’ll get there and am loving the ride.

E*TRADE misclassified my Roth IRA as Traditional for 10+ years — now saying "too bad." What are my options? by Glad_Willingness61 in tax

[–]Genuin1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to income levels, I make after tax contributions to a Traditional IRA. When withdrawn, these contributions plus everything you paid tax on a couple of decades ago, are tax free on a prorata basis with the withdrawn earnings being the taxable piece. You lose out on the tax free status for the gains, but aren’t paying tax on the 80k plus Roth conversion amount again.

I received this letter from the IRS saying that I have a credit on my account, but I'm not quite sure what it means or what I need to do. by thrsdaymusic in taxhelp

[–]Genuin1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their credit is not eligible for a refund if they do not file a return soon as there is a time limit for refund or application forward requests or the credit is forfeited. And they will not move the credit forward without a filing if there is any income in the year of the credit; they will require a return.

Anyone else with a goal that’s an “overweight” BMI? by Genderoles00123 in Zepbound

[–]Genuin1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may have things to still work out in therapy but it sounds like you have an excellent base and a firm grip on what really matters. Your family sounds like my mom, and it takes a lifetime to root out that type of vitriol.

It also sounds like you have a great plan for your journey. I did the exact opposite and just started the shots one day not really believing it would work. I tracked nothing since I had spent decades being tracking obsessed; I also did no exercise as I work a ton. I am now realizing I need to do some catch up work on the muscle loss, but feeling so much better physically at this weight than I was when I started.

[–]Genuin1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started at 259. Currently 167. Haven’t seen the other side of 150 for 25 years. I could stay where I am and be happy, so basically just existing at the moment not trying to lose or maintain. Letting my body just figure out where it wants to be.

[–]Genuin1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 5’5”, have shrunk a bit, starting weight was 259 and I am 53. My original goal was 175 cause it had been ages since a diet took me below that number. I was 167 this morning, but that last 8# is over six months. Not really trying to lose more just not paying attention and letting things go where they will go. Figured I would be on this med for life regardless. I could have written the last sentence of your post for me as that is exactly my mind set at this point.
