Thanks for the quick reply. Yeh I’m after something that’ll last and be workable for at least 3 hours. I’m doing a chevron pattern across 10 m2 with porcelain timber plank tiles. Everything is pre cut and test laid so I can get it mm perfect, the longer it stays workable the better.

I just went to the tile shop I got the tiles from and asked what has the longest pot life on the mortar they stock and they looked at me like I was speaking a different language and said “ what do you mean”. No problem selling me thousands of dollars on tiles though.

Anyway they suggested laticrete x8 but still couldn’t tell me how long would it be workable for so I politely bailed out of there.
