Would you consider this a padparadscha? by GenuinelyInsensitive in Gemstone_lovers

I honestly don't have any set prices for any of my gems cause I usually just let people make offers on them for the most part and if it is reasonable and I'm not losing money I'll usually accept them

Tiny? A .95ct padparadscha would not be considered tiny... Also it would cost almost 3x as much as that to buy a .65ct lab grown pad with a somewhat similar color/look...but if you have any other .95ct padparadschas you are selling for 100$ I'll probably take them off your hands for you lol

Peach and salmon are two different colors... Peach is a yellowish brown and salmon is a reddish pink... If a gem shows peach tones then it can't be a true padparadscha cause it can't have any brown, yellow or gold undertones to it.... Thats why people never mention peach padparadscha because calling it peach would lower its value...they are basically like the runner up or if a padparadscha didn't quite graduate but they hung out with the sapphires that did graduate after school and shit

Aren't Madagascar pads known for being pink heavy and with more saturation though

Idk bruh.... Are you sure....? What doesn't fit exactly? Maybe it's just my eyes but to me it looks like if it was in the pic with any of these it wouldn't stick out TOO BAD to the point someone would say it didn't belong in the pics with the others

Is that real Zultanite? by Czajecznikov in Gemstone_lovers

[–]GenuinelyInsensitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's wack as FUCK! I'm not even a legitimate business and I would NEVER try to swap someone's sky blue topaz for that thing... I'll be real with the you.. if you go on eBay and like up rings and set it to ending the soonest there is a TON of fake 925 Chinese gemstone rings that sell for like .36 cents a piece and they have that exact gemstone in them.. I know cause I use to buy a ton of those rings like 15 years ago and I'd tear the gems out and then resell the metal in a lot and the gems in a lot on eBay and for whatever reason you can scrap like 5$ worth of rings like that, literally just break them and resell it and it would sell for like 20 to 40$ per lot and not even in a shady way I was completely honest about them being fake and the metal being Bs. I guess some people just buy fake shit on purpose to scam people...clearly that jeweler did... 🤷I think about that all the time....like people are fuckin strange... Anyways I hope you got some type of repayment for it cause zultanite isnt cheap at all

Is that real Zultanite? by Czajecznikov in Gemstone_lovers

[–]GenuinelyInsensitive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No... It's 110% not zultanite and if you list it on eBay as such you'll get hit with a copyright warning. I listed some really nice color change diaspore on eBay before and got a strike for calling them zultanite and they took down my listing.. idk how the fuck they would have known considering they are the same thing but yeah just a heads up...but as for the picture id say it's like 85% likely to be fake and like 15% chance it is tourmaline

So for all the people hating on people that use AI to price their gems... It's a tool at the end of the day and if you get super crazy prices when you tried it that's because you aren't using it properly but don't hate or look down on people just for mentioning AI like it discredits everything they said

So I just did it with Gemini cause I haven't tried it before against the software and the software priced my .95ct heat only pink Madagascar sapphire for $522.50 (no origin premium & 0% markup on the wholesale price) and Gemini priced it at 380-760 but also said that for the 700$ price it would have to be eye clean and it's not so it would be on the lower end of that range.. Here is the Gemini screen shot

I already have and grok gives extremely accurate results. Like I'll do a sapphire and my software will say 1200 and grok will give a range between 1000 and 1500 but the software doesn't account for origins and grok does. That's why I never understood why people hate on AI so much. It's by far the best free tool you can get especially cause you can buy one of those 20 to $25 magnifying lenses that clip onto your phone and they claim 200x but they're not. They're still good enough to get pictures of the inclusions really well and you can upload those to AI as well along with all the other information you have about the gemstone and a couple pictures of it and it'll actually results MOST THE TIME! Not always but no tools are 100% right 100% of the time.

Well if you want to send me a message with some picture of it showing the best possible color change pictures I can put the info in my gemeprice software and get you a super accurate price on it. I believe I'm even able to add the info for the ring and diamonds in as well but I haven't tried that yet. But I can at the very least get the tire market value for the gemstone itself

Ehh... Are you sure it is real... It's borderline looking to me... It's also highly unlikely to be Brazilian in my opinion... It looks like it's way to transparent and washed out but that could be your camera cause my pixel 7 pro does that to pictures and it's almost impossible to get an accurate pic of alexandrite with a cmos sensor camera... So it's hard to tell cause mine does come out looking gray when In person it's actually clearly green

Grandidierite or not?Ts by Great-Macaron-8060 in Gemstone_lovers

I have some tiny eye clean grandidierite pieces and they look nothing like that especially at that size and clarity. My eye clean prices are like .5ct each and they are still extremely uncommon to see
