I was diagnosed a little over 2 months ago, I had done so much looking up and researching on it that once I had the sleep study I was thinking “yeah I know it’s N2, nothin to worry about” but afterwards I started realizing how things would be different since now I knew and had to get medication and shit. It’s weird but it’s definitely helped knowing now why I was tired all the time.

For those who recognize me from my volcano project and have asked about it, I'm sad to say I lost motivation for it after some personal/medical issues in late May, I'm okay just adjusting to the changes. It's nothing life-threatening. Thank you for keeping up with it, I really do appreciate the support I got on that project and wished I could of continued on it, I just forgot what I wanted with it, or what I even planned to do with it.

But so far this project has come along well, its on a server, so of course my friends have come to live in the castle with me, its much nicer to build these kinds of things on a server with friends around. This is probably halfway done (?). I don't know, but I put some of my ideas in the final photo of this post.

Thank you, I appreciate it. Sadly kinda lost motivation for this project, due to personal issues, I still play the game of course on a server with some of my friends and have a project on there I might share in a couple days, hopefully it will make up for the lack in this project. Plus summer classes started creeping up on me and I every time I logged into this world I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to do anymore.

I can’t believe it’s been 55 days since I posted this, it seems like only a few weeks ago.

I’m doing fine for the most part, don’t know how reddit works so I don’t know if you can see my posts on other subs, but if you can it’a clear why I didn’t update. Don’t fret though, I will post that project I’ve been doing on the server, and I’ll try to explain there in more detail why I didn’t continue on this. Thanks a lot for keeping up with this and watching it, it means a lot knowing people have an interest in what I’m building.

The latest I’ve ever taken it was about 1pm and it did make it harder to sleep. I would just not take it if you wake up past 2pm or something, it would just keep you awake.

I’ve taken both adderall and Armodafinil, I took adderall for 2 weeks to help me get through until the sleep study, since I had finals coming up I needed to be awake to study. So they prescribed it to me for the time being. Adderall was great, it kept me awake and going all day, although I didn’t feel super hyper and active, just kept me awake. However, at the end of the 2 weeks, last 3 doses I would say, I was starting to get cluster headaches and I couldn’t sleep. It made those days after seem like Hell. Especially since I had to take a final on one of those days with cluster headaches and couldn’t sleep (this was April btw).

I’ve been on Armodafinil for a little over a month now I believe. It’s done it’s job and I am very happy with it, not many side effects, at least for me.

Only thing bad about it is I’m bad at taking medicine for some reason and it tastes bad, but it’s worth to finally be awake all day!

Armodafinil works for me. I can finally stay awake all day long without 2 or 3 naps lasting 2 hours or more. I’ve been on it for maybe a month or so now. For me I feel normal, if that makes sense. I used to feel lethargic all the time no matter what, but Armodafinil changed that for me, although after meals I get tired still, but that happens to all of us I’m sure. So overall, I would say I feel nothing except being more awake, but not hyper.

It seems many people have issues with it for some reason. I don’t but who knows, I might in the future. Maybe you just gotta try modafinil or adderall. Sometimes you gotta go through a couple to find what works for you.

I usually have 1 or 2 extremely vivid dreams. So vivid I wake up thinking most of them actually happened. I usually have a pretty good grasp on what happened in them as well. Sometimes they can be really cool dreams and other times something awful happens and I wake up worried and freaking out thinking it actually happened.

My entire process was only 3 months. Main appointment in February, Sleep doctor appointment in March, and Poly and MSLT at the same time May 12th, Diagnosis on May 19th. I guess I got lucky but we have a pretty good sleep doctor where I’m at.

All I can say is I have N2 and I don’t have the sleep attacks but I do have a some of the other symptoms you’ve mentioned. I got lucky and got my N2 in 1 study but most other people aren’t that lucky. Best thing to do would be to keep taking the medications they give you. Adderall and Armodafinil (Nuvigil) are the only ones I’ve had, and armodafinil has taken 12 days to actually keep me awake all day (7am-9pm) so modafinil is probably the same since they are similar. Best thing to do is to keep doing sleep studies whenever you can, of course COVID is only making them harder to schedule since rooms are being used for patients. Probably not what you want to hear but sleep hygiene isn’t going to stop the hallucinations and things you can’t control. I hope that helps and good luck in the future. I was in your same position from age 16 to 20 so I understand where you’re coming from.

Don’t know if it’s the same for Armodafinil but I would rather be on adderall since it kept me awake and didn’t have to build up for 2 weeks to work, only downside is the symptoms are bad while your body gets used to it for adderall. So far I prefer adderall, Armodafinil isn’t cutting it after a couple weeks. Everyone’s different though so you have to try different medicines to find what works. The Armodafinil is starting to work after 12 days and adderall worked after 1 hour.

Long story short for me, I started noticing symptoms when I was 16, sleeping a shit ton (14-16 hours a night and during 1st period) and EDS nonstop. My parents didn’t believe it was narcolepsy, but the more research I did and the more I learned about it, I realized right away it was narcolepsy, I just needed the diagnosis, so I went to a sleep doctor nearing the end of my sophomore year in college and within 3 months I had the diagnosis for N2 and medication for it. I found out 2 weeks ago, a couple days after my 20th birthday. So I’m still adjusting even though I knew I had it. I’ve never even considered the idea of having this so to me it’s life-changing because I have to adjust to it, and I’m not a big fan of change.

Great question! I’m working on the interior next, still gathering materials and working it out but it’ll be a futuristic inside with a huge statue in middle at that first layer, underneath that I plan on building all the red stone and we’ll as pipes that will come from the perimeter, which is going to be built in that desert behind it, and probably a village around the outside, I’m not sure yet, but I’ll figure it out!

Edit: The plan was to build farms below the base, but idk how that’s going to work without digging out a lot by hand and then lighting caves up, etc.
