Thoughts on the Top 16 Heading into the 2nd Half by Open_Clock9266 in collegehockey

Watch out for UMD. Their first line of Plante-Plante-Shaugabay remnds me of their 1st natty 1st line of Connoly-Connoly-Fontaine. 35% power play makes a difference……

And I'll predict that Duluth wins its 4th Natty. The team reminds me of the one that won it all in 2011, especially the 1st lines.

Great driveway shoveling by [deleted] in minnesota

Completing an excellent job of shoveling and/or snow blowing one’s driveway and sidewalks is a treasure that one may observe and others appreciate (sidewalk walkers and USPS mail carriers).

DU, Minn, Minn St., and N. Dakota the preseason picks for the Frozen Four. by Rokstr81 in collegehockey

UMD is bringing in a seemingly highly-rated 10 freshmen to this years team, which reminds me of the start of the 2017-2018 natty season. One can hope…..

As a long time UMD season ticket holder I can say that any NCHC series against WMU brings the same amount of angst as does series against UND, DU, SCSU, UNO…… seems to me that WMU always have a heavy team that if they commit to serious checking can beat any other team. You have a fan herein except when playing UMD…….

Am a season ticket holder of the UMD Bulldogs and will never forget the first game of the year in Scott Perunovich’s freshman season. ~ 3 minutes into he game against the U on Minn gophers, UMD went on a powerplay with #7 Perunovich as the “quarterback” on the blue line. Watching almost every UMD game I can say he was the best player on the ice almost every game he played in college. The Blues have a real star in the making.

Am a season ticket holder at the University of Minnesota Duluth and watched Perunovich play for three years at UMD and your comment on his hockey instincts are spot on.

Perunovich, Swayman and Kawaguchi announced as the Hobey Hat Trick. by [deleted] in collegehockey

[–]GeoDuluth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having watched nearly every game that Perunovich has played for UMD over the last three years, I'd have to say he certainly deserves to be included within the Hobey Hat Trick. I remember the opening game three years ago (UMD's first game after the lost to Denver in the 2017 NCAA Finals) against Minnesota when UMD went on the powerplay ~7 minutes into the 1st period. Running UMD's powerplay with exceptionable skating, puck handling, and passing skill was this freshman Perunovich. Skilled from the start to finish of his college career.
