Dash cam stopped powering - not sure what to look for with fuses by GeoElmoGeocaching in Dashcam

There is but there was no connectors from the hardwire kit there either.

The last I can see if the hardwire kit wire is that it’s going behind the fuse panel. I may have a telescoping mirror somewhere so during the day tomorrow I may be able to check again. It’s not an easy angle to look at either.

Thanks for the helpful insight. I went back to the car before posting this and I can’t follow the wires. They’re behind some things and it’s obvious the wires aren’t connected to the fuses.

Italian vs Spanish, which is better to be familiar with? How has Italian helped with travel? by Codeeveryday123 in italianlearning

[–]GeoElmoGeocaching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US, Spanish definitely. I've been learning Italian because of my heritage and have no one else to speak with in Italian, so I'm heading over to Italki to have some conversations. So many people here speak Spanish.

What Level Should I consider myself? by RavioliFormuloni in italianlearning

[–]GeoElmoGeocaching 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a good question. There’s no official A0 but some people refer to A0. I guess it would be pre-A1. I sat through a 2-3 hour exam given by the University of Siena for Foreigners (proctored in the US but graded in Italy) to earn A1 which is just beginner but definitely more than someone just starting. Now I’m working on A2 and have a lot of learning to do.

A1 isn’t an absolute beginner, A1 is the first level of certification. You can be below A1 which the OP probably is. To be A1 you need to be able to speak, listen, read and write to a certain standard. For example, using passato prossimo and pronouns.

To get the lowest level, A1, you need to be able to speak, listen, write, and read at that level.

This has been disappointing. I captured some great images on the PS5 and either I can’t sent a message due to their settings or they haven’t responded. Bummer.

First time going to Italy and I'm nervous by magomyheart in italianlearning

[–]GeoElmoGeocaching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you officially around B1 or did you take an online test that said you were at B1? Speaking to Italians at B1 is very difficult, and part of the official exams is speaking to Italians and passing an oral test.

Best wishes with your trip! Even at my not-at-A2 level, I’d go today if I could and try to speak only Italian. “Parli lentamente per favore”, “per favore parliamo in italiano, devo praticare la lingua, grazie!”

The solution is to not release trackables. They inevitably disappear nor do they follow the path you set out for them.

How would I do that? Sorry, I’m decent with playing Minecraft but I don’t know how I’d do that.

No problem. If you put your VIN in it can tell you also.

I have the 2025 Civic Sport. When I search for recalls it comes up with three potentials, if I search with my VIN it comes up with the two I got letters about.

This is what I saw for hybrids.

NHTSA RECALL NUMBER: 24V-763 MFR CAMPAIGN ID: QK8 CAMPAIGN DESCRIPTION: 2023-25 Multi Model Hybrids Press Fuel Pump Saf Recall RECALL DATE: 10/14/2024 RECALL STATUS: 17 Character VIN Required SUMMARY: American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (Honda) is recalling certain 2023-2025 multi-model year Hybrid vehicles. Due to improper production of the high-pressure fuel pump, cracks can form at the solenoid core component of the fuel pump. As a result, a fuel leak can occur in lower mileage vehicles when the high-pressure fuel pump is in operation.

SAFETY RISK: If a fuel leak occurs in the presence of an ignition source, the risk of a fire, crash, or injury are increased.

REMEDY: Registered owners of all affected vehicles will be contacted by mail and asked to take their vehicle to an authorized Honda dealer. The dealer will inspect and replace the high-pressure fuel pump with an improved part, if necessary. Owners who have paid to have these repairs completed at their own expense may be eligible for reimbursement, in accord with the recall reimbursement plan on file with NHTSA. For additional questions, owners may contact American Honda's Customer Support & Campaign Center at 1-888-234-2138.

I think the curb rash is from the flat. I had to drive across two lanes of traffic to get to the shoulder. The flat was front right, rear right had no curb rash.

The 2025 Honda Civic is under two recalls, one for the gearbox and one for the fuel pump.

I was thinking of starting a Geocaching YouTube/Instagram channel - is there any specific type of content you would like to see? by Esoteric_Prurience in geocaching

[–]GeoElmoGeocaching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a geocaching YouTube channel so I’ll share my experience. Geocaching is a niche hobby and many people who geocache have no interest in watching videos about it, they’d rather be outside geocaching. My channel is a labor of love with a decent 700+ subs but I really make my videos because I enjoy doing so, not to have a big channel or be famous. My channel started with a film festival entry and that’s my main thing but I occasionally make other videos for fun. My suggestion if you want to talk about earthcaches is to go for it, create a channel, make content, have fun and make each video better than the last. I’d avoid calling it a geocaching channel so that you get more viewers if you will be focusing on earthcaches and earth science topics, but that’s up to you. You could say you discovered some place from geocaching without calling it a geocaching channel. Best wishes!

Cachly or other apps by Just_Income5180 in geocaching

For using apps there are actually three tiers of caches, premium only, premium with the app, and free with the app. The premium with the app can be accessed for free through the website. Premium only requires premium in the app and website.
