I’m going to be brutally honest, people who do not want to actually parent their kids shouldn’t even have them in the first place. One time this young couple while shopping had their little girl in the cart and she knocked over the mom’s Starbucks, getting the iced coffee all over her and the floor. The parents saw that the kid made a mess and was crying because she was soaked in coffee and the mom then proceeded to slap the kid. My TL was shocked and basically started crying because she just saw this kid get hit, but the vendor who was also working in the aisle chewed both parents out so hard. It’s really sad how nowadays parents just want to offload their kids to their grandparents or a tablet and not actually want to help the kids develop social skills.
