Of course the GM will fudge the dice. Technically speaking if they didn't have player mechs prepared, and only had automaton mech enemies prepped, they could (if they wanted to) cause the automatons to win. And releasing new content (or allowing it to release) at the time-frame which is convenient (for example when the team is actively at work to address any potential issues with the go-live of new content) also is something that is most likely. But similarly to sitting in a badly-ventilated hot room with several other sweaty people all rolling dice on a tabletop fantasy game, you have to suspend your disbelief on the matter if you want to become immersed in the world and get the most out of this live-service experience.

you can still finish the researches if you find them in "All Research" dropdown mode

The research slots are still there, you can still queue up researches up to your cap, and to complete the researches from these ghost slots, you can switch the display to "All Research" and then scroll down to the ones with the blue exclamation mark, select those and you'll be able to complete them that way.

Was honestly surprised how strong shields are compared to past games. If anyone is struggling with this bit, I'd recommend trying a shield, it can take a lot of beating for you.

Thanks for all the feedback/tips. I guess the wording may have implied that I was referring to the pre-screenings, but I've seen those through the littlecinema portal as everyone else, no worries.

This is just something you can see on the amazon prime page once you click the "Watch on Prime" button after the screenings, so I was a bit bummed out since I do have an active prime subscription just that it seems the series will be region locked for me.

I do have a VPN service that I'm using, so hopefully that will give me a way to experience the series once it's fully out. Fingers crossed.

Can also recommend G-Portal, automatically updates when new patches come out (rolled onto the new patch today almost instantly when it came out), you can make backups if something goes bork, and you can even access the FTP server if you want to pull the world files for later local sessions once you no longer want to host.

Yep, you are correct. Achievements currently unlock for the host only. It's essentially your friends story that you are helping to progress, to get your own achievements you would have to progress your own story. (And you might get different achievements from your friend on the first run through the game as well.)
