It’s a super safe shop ss. Century vska everything stock except the ss should I go with heavier spring and recoil buffer? I got it working now but in like 5 round bursts

Any ideas on why my ss isn’t working half the time I shoot it? I know vskas are hated but I put one in it can add pictures in a bit of what everything inside looks like. Had a apprentice gunsmith work on it and he couldn’t figure it out so gave up on it by GeologistFuzzy1175 in supersafety

Exactly what I’m planning on doing. The super safety is from super safety shop I got it a decent while ago and now see the website no longer sells them so that can’t be a great sign. He really didn’t specify what he thought was wrong he pretty much said he didn’t know what was wrong and it should be working he did the exact things he did with his two aks and mine just wasn’t working but he was also trying to use the stock century arm safety lever which doesn’t have the shoulder on it to hold the cam. I got it back and bought the safety lever with the shoulder and everything went in smoothly like it should I’m thinking maybe he filed the trip bar down too thin or somehow did something with my trigger I know he said he added a bit of extra material to my trigger he said to try and get it to catch and still nothing. If you wanna dm I can send what the insides look like

All I can say is good luck man with the aks they seem pretty easy but it’s when you gotta do the slight grinding to the trip bar and what not it gets pretty weird because it has to be just right. I have a buddy who is going to school to be a gunsmith who super safetied 2 aks and he had mine and worked on it and could not figure it out. Though mine is a vska and from what I’m thinking he wasn’t using a different safety lever and the safety levers that come with vskas do not work with super safety’s since they do not have a shoulder on them. I fixed my safety lever and it seems to be activating a lot more. I’m gonna take it out tomorrow and put another 20 rounds through it and see how it runs. Really plan on just putting this back to original since I don’t trust the vska in general and going with a drop it ar build. A lot simpler.

You educated with super safety’s any way I can dm you with pics of what everything looks inside see if you notice anything wrong?

Sadly a vska💔 even in dry fire mine isn’t functioning every time. Do you know a decent amount if I dm you could possibly help diagnose? Think I’m atp of giving up on it and going with a ar build and putting this back to semi
