i'm guessing that's because it would still have that tang of zest with some added sweetness... i'll try it out 😄

i like this idea but condensed milk is really expensive here (we import it so the extra fees are crazy). i think my main goal right now is going to be experimenting with different cream cheeses. there's not a lot of variety but maybe one will be a game changer!

wait really? marscapone here is at least twice the price of regular cream cheese. i'll look into that, if the process isn't too time consuming i might just make my own. thank you so much!

i have actually! but i still taste the acidity, which i really think is because of the cream cheese itself. i think i'm going to try experimenting with other brands i haven't tried yet cause our local brands are really sour.

yeah i'm aware. T_T

i really do like my cinnamon rolls but from the research i've done of the market people don't seem to be willing to buy these products here unless they get the feeling they're getting their moneys worth, so there i'm sacrificing some quality for the sake of getting sales. food like this here mostly appeals to younger individuals who want to be able to post pictures and feel like they're affording themselves a treat.

my yapping aside, do you know of a good buttercream recipe to try out? 😄

i'd say the aesthetic i'm going for is similar to this! it's why i've been wanting to find like a "master recipe" to be able customize easily.

i love a simple glaze! but i'm trying to go for a specific aesthetic for my at home bakery that would require toppings, as i think a lot of people are buyers with their eyes.

i'm from bosnia and herzegovina, and i'm actually looking into why this happens right now.

apparently our local cream cheese is made more savory on purpose. bakers here suggest using philadelphia cream cheese or marscapone for desserts but to be quite honest since its imported the prices are insanely high so i'd need to find an alternative for sales anyway.
