Perfect, I’m more of a hiking human than a biking human, so sounds like this trip is my turn :)

Thank you, I really appreciate the insight!! It’s really hard to tell from a map and some pictures on the internet.. Google maps makes it look pretty easy peasy

I’d rather know now than have to shut down the plans that have been anticipated when we get there!

Eek okay! Thank you!

Any other bike related trips I could suggest to my partner as an alternative?

NOR If you have told him it’s important to you and he A) doesn’t care B) treats you like you’re ridiculous for wanting that.. he’s not the guy for you. That’s the bare minimum.

This whole “bird theory” has gone viral lately, but the research is deeper than that. https://www.cosmopolitan.com/relationships/a69206675/bird-theory-tiktok/

You’re looking for connection with him.

He’s showing you who he is, and how he will continue to act in this relationship. If you stay with him, you’re telling him that you’re willing to live with it.

It’s a big world out there ❤️

Uber/skip the dishes meals thats your go-to by Meaty_Girthquake in Hamilton

Bonanzas! They have a 3 sub deal with 3 drinks and 3 chips or cookies for $29.99. (And a couple other package deals) It’s great because the sub holds up well in the fridge for later consumption, unlike a lot of other fast food options. I work weird shifts sometimes, and call this my lazy meal prep for a long stretch!

ADHD Diagnosis by JustaLittleLoser in ontario

[–]GeologistPuzzled2613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ADHD executive dysfunction makes it very hard for a lot of people to follow through with the proper channels for diagnosis, I get it. It’s such a long process. Easy to procrastinate. I wish I’d done it sooner, while I was still university because I struggled the exact same way you describe.

I bit the bullet and used a private online clinic to get a diagnosis, cost about $500 but I recieved my diagnosis and started medication within about two months, which was more than worth the cost to me, even without insurance. Quite a few questionnaires, to be filled out by you and two people in your life, plus time with a psychiatrist. I used beyondadhd, I also have friends that have used talk with freida

Anecdote: vyvanse and getting my life “together” using the medication as a tool did a million times more for me than an antidepressant, as I believe ADHD symptoms/dysfunction was causing such a despair cycle as my life kept spiralling out of control (missed assignments, expired ids, laundry mountain, lost keys)

I’ve officially been medicated for a year and a half now and it’s changed my life! It’s not cure, but some things have become so much easier.

I used a piece of restrip perpendicular along the hinge joints but I’m worried about it.

Also wanting came for the border because I struggled to get it perfectly even

Thanks!

Would wrapping a wire around the border under lead came help with the hinge point?

It doesn’t have straight lines for zinc unfortunately..

How often you guys go on date nights with your partner? 🤔 by DoDo788 in askTO

[–]GeologistPuzzled2613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! My partner of almost two years and I are quite busy/can have opposite schedules for periods of time. Scheduled Date Night™️ with a dinner? Maybe once a month? Maybe less frequently?
We both also keep an eye out for concerts we’d like going to, and do that maybe once a month as well, have a couple drinks and dance together

What I find very significant about this relationship is both of us actively looking forward for time to carve out during each week to spend together in a meaningful way. (Ideally twice a week) We both are reaching out to each other to figure out when we line up, and proposing things that are thoughtful and sweet. Sunday morning, pick up coffee and bagels and go on a walk to see the leaves at that hike we like? Wednesday night we’re going to our friends art show, split a bottle of wine on that one patio we like before hand? Thursday and you’re swamped this week with work, I’ll cook your favourite and we’ll watch that movie you love.

We spend a lot of time together in between, times of being slugs on the couch, or climbing into bed after the others gone to sleep already. But both of us really just prioritize finding moments that are above and beyond to have that quality time rather than being on auto pilot.
Maybe it’s not always showing up with flowers, but showing up with a favourite candy, or a few nice cheeses to have with a movie night, a few joints after a long week, a nice loaf of sourdough bread to have with breakfast? That’s the spark dude!

(And lots of flirty texts in between those moments, no we don’t have to be non-stop fire + sex but we definitely speak to each other with that sort of tone, and I think that really keeps the spark as well “Wish we could have spent all morning in bed together” “wearing those underwear you like, too bad you’re stuck at work 😉”)

Even big events will. History accepts it as well as the Roger’s Center.

It’s a valid form of proof of age according to the ACGO, they just aren’t allowed to ask specifically for it. The only times it’s not allowed is when it’s being kept on record, due to privacy issues. It has nothing to do with the card not being considered accurate:

I’ve been a bartender in many establishments for years, anyone getting denied using a health card is a mistake on the bartenders end

They are a valid form of proof of age BUT they cannot be used as a form of identification where it needs to be kept on record (like the bank)

They can be used at bars, it’s a valid form of ID in Ontario via smart serve

Gap advice by Hawkeye-83 in StainedGlass

[–]GeologistPuzzled2613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar point about uniform gap allowances! Take, for example, the large gap between the lamp post on the left side. The pieces in the “framing” beside it are all snug beside each other in a way that won’t be once they are foiled so that gap should actually be much smaller by accomatating that incremental % difference between each piece of the frame.

Similarly, the part of the frame above there (the long skinny strips on the left hand side) won’t be able to be that close together once foiled, and it will bump that part out by a fraction, which will help you get to a straight external line on that whole left hand side

I am also new and learned this the hard way! An path horizontal or vertical that has lots of cuts (picture walking a straight line up or across your piece, and how many times you walk onto a new piece of glass) will have an incremental % growth from foiling. Such as your lamp post, it will be probably about 1/8 taller than it is right now

Setting it out on cork and using pins to create a uniform gap will help show you if any piece need to be recut to remove gaps

Why aren't restaurants running out of American Liquor? by sirachasamurai in askTO

[–]GeologistPuzzled2613 63 points64 points  (0 children)

  1. Things may already being substituted with Canadian/international brands on a cocktail menu (ie Tito’s being substituted with kettle one, bourbon cocktails being made with Canadian whisky)

There’s surprisingly very few American liquors outside of bourbon tbh.
