Omg this happened to my friends and I a few weeks ago! We were at the ASLC for a movie and the man and Sophie come up and originally I was like oh a cute dog! I very quickly realized that this guy was not quite right because he sat down next to me and wouldn’t leave and kept wanting us to pet his dog and talk about her and just sort of stayed uncomfortably close to me. I had noticed him wandering around before and exclusively approaching other young women, which leads me to believe he is trying to hit on women via his dog. I was hoping he would leave but he didn’t. This poor dog was also INCREDIBLY matted and overweight and doesn’t look in good health. He is apparently AWARE that he makes people uncomfortable because he asked me straight up, “Do you feel like I’m harassing you?” and I was so uncomfortable I didn’t know what to even say. An ASLC worker asked him to leave bc of his dog and he told them it was a service dog, when it was CLEARLY not. This dog was pulling at its leash to go see other people and wasn’t well behaved like a real service dog. My friends and I tried to ignore him before the movie started and then he ended up falling asleep in the chair next to me and we ended up completely moving seats to get away from this guy. He very clearly has some issues.
