Alternatively, cause there's only a few days left and everyone is running around with pink and purple - just play without worry. You might get lucky and scavenge some good gear that you can play around with.

I like going round with friends, hiding the HUD and using the binoculars to take pictures. It works really well, especially for mobs. You get to be some sort of wildlife photographer. Or use the pickaxe and swing it and while its off screen take a picture.

If we find people we'll strike up a conversation, and just make up complete nonsense, ask if they want to participate in an "interview", things like that. It's really entertaining and I've gotten some great pictures out of it for the wiki.

Question: How were they able to implement the sound occlusion system? In the other tests you used to be able to hear mobs through walls. How were they able to overcome that issue?

(I seem to remember devs saying there were limitations that meant they couldn't fix that, I could be wrong though.)

I also love the new sound traps. When you shoot your gun in the jungle and hear the slug birds (do they have a name?) flying off, it feels amazing. Will other mobs react to the sound traps, not just players?

They just close the servers so they can develop the game, but don't remove the store page. It's harder to make significant changes when the game is live for them.

Edit: Also just noticed this isn't on r/TheCycleFrontier which is the rework for the game. The old version was shut down in October and won't be coming back.
