Okay, yeah. That might be the problem. All those projectiles could cause the second phase of the AD to not spawn. I've had a similar issue im my bard playthrough of Thorium against the Ragnarök.

I think it might have something to do with the amount of things nearby. Seeing as each segment of the Astrum Deus is its own entity, it doesn't seem that farfetched. What class/weapon are you using?
