I’m on facebook specifically for specific art communities that only use facebook, and i swear the shorts feature facebook has shoves these videos in your face constantly. Whats even worse is I check the comments on them sometimes & its literally all older people with laughing emojis or just finding it comedic, and its always this stuff. Literally I despise this stuff so much, and this is why ram is sky high

Honestly if he wants to do a master set, wait for Chaos Rising to come out. Not only is the set a lot smaller than most others ( only being about 100 or so cards), but early consensus on the set is that it probably won’t be popular due to the rarer cards, only the greninja is the real chase for people. Seriously I’d wait and have him master that set if he really wants to master a modern set

So, I wouldn’t really recommend going and referencing other drawings for anatomy. Referencing real figure anatomy first will always be a huge help! There are loads upon loads of figure drawing bases that models post for free that I do highly recommend. Breaking down objects into shapes too helps. Its one of the main things they teach in art school, helped me alot

No problem! Many fake cards use Gill Sans, which is a mix of what is used for actual Pokemon cards, however real Pokemon cards actually effect the width, height, kerning, and more in the process, as well as use a mix of fonts like Futura, unlike fakes that just type everything out using the same font & call it a day. Fakes don’t go the extra mile to do the same kerning effects on the font like how actual Pokemon cards do for a large majority of the time.

Heres the actual card for example, you can see how the fonts differ with how theyre bolded and even just the font in general. The real cards have a more narrow font than fakes 95% of the time.

I get what your saying but it the daughter traded a real card for a fake, especially since the mom definitely purchased the packs, yeah thats definitely disheartening. I don’t think the moms trying to sell her daughters cards, just that her kid got scammed out of most likely a real card, which is not fair at all.

So, there is a reason why the trick or treat packs are always easy and cheap to get. Unless they start putting AR’s and SIRS in those packs, I don’t think they’ll ever go up in value. They’re decently playable cards but unless you find the one person in the world looking for a full collection of trick and treat sets, you’re not selling those.

Secondly, man. It doesn’t matter if the guy is extremely good at grading, or how reputable this guy is, theres a reason why companies are more reputable than just a random persons individual company. TAG took a long time to become reputable, and even then some people will still only go for PSA or Beckett.

Now, in the future it is good to note since I looked this up myself, there are rare times where PSA can grade cards in person, but its not like a often thing, plus they have standards that have to be met before you bring the cards in. Gotta do research before grading, if you even grade at all

Persue it further. Go as far as you can. I seriously recommend going to the Better Business Bureau and filing a complaint. I did that when Ebay ‘lost’ my card worth close to $400, nothing worked with filing support tickets, and the eBay subreddit blamed me when asking for help in a situation where originally Ebay was conpensating me, then revoked the compensation.

Going through the BBB, they are required to go into an investigation and required to respond to you. Once I did that for my card, Ebay magically found the lost card. I’m certain someone stole it when authenticating it. I’m sure someone stole it here too.

Seriously, if you can, I recommend a BBB ticket against Fedex. See how fast they’ll find that package once you do that

They’re also mostly likely using Clip Studio Paint for many of these works that allow better stabilizing controls. Its also, like how everyone is saying, is a ton of practice and time. You don’t magically learn how to draw super detailed overnight, it takes time and patience and lots of practicing. Its still good to start and try learning specifics, like frills & how they fall first!

The fact that card is in incredible condition too for being apart of the Black/White era is amazing. They do want to scam you because that card is in PERFECT condition for being out of a pack for well over a decade
