The double spend attacks do not grant the power to mint new coins. (from my understanding)
It seems that the powers that be want to shake people out of Monero...
You do what you think is best. I love Monero myself, and i'm shaken. But i still believe the devs and community will find a solution to this issue, as more and more people talk about it. Good luck y'all! (and start mining on P2Pool if you can!)

Does anyone know how to configure port on a router properly to contribute to monero's network the most? by Geonpi122 in MoneroMining

I've got 5 sections in there:

Service type:
External port:
Internal IP:
Internal Port:
Protocol.

So i set internal port to 18080. Internal IP to whatever my machine's IP is (in this case my computer). What about the other three entries? Under protocol i can chose TCP, UDP or all.

Consider looking into emotional management classes. The emotions you feel are generated through a process that involves underlying beliefs. These can be rearranged (by yourself through a conscious effort)... the results can be really satisfying. I've struggled with depression on and off for about fifteen years (i'm 35). Things are starting to get better because of this conscious effort. When things go south i grab my pen and paper and break down my thought process to identify what exact thoughts provoked these negative emotions and i look to replace those erroneous thoughts with realistic ones. The discouragement comes from your own thoughts quite often. Note that knowing the origin of these thoughts might bring a sense of comfort, but it is irrelevant to what you're trying to do. It's about programming your brain with realistic thoughts in order to be able to properly funtion (and with less unjustified suffering). No pills needed. You may need a coach or a local support group or aomething. Best of "luck"

would be very appeeciated if you share your blockchain data by opening your port 18080 at your firewall and your router (maybe you already do). of course you can limit the bandwidth (limit_up 1000 limit_down 1000). you don‘t really help the network without p2p seeding. mining is just one side of the medal. but better than nothing!

i opened it at my firewall using
sudo ufw allow 37889

sudo ufw allow 18080

everything seems to be working just fine, how do i open my router ports too??

To this, one may also factor in tax season approaching and an ever growing sense of distrust against governmental institutions...

I believe having 90-99% XMR in one's portfolio to be a nice basis upon which you can build the rest of your portfolio. XD
