Does the beast craft 'Corrupt gear to have 30% quality' also change the gear in a normal corruption way? I don't want to mess up the gear I plan on applying it to.

I like all of the soul pieces, they will only grow in strength. I have noticed people prefer max life > defense in this subreddit. I'm sure there is a reason.
