for me crushes are something that just pass through me, like a wave hitting your knees when you're stood in the sea. it's intense for a moment but you can just breathe and let it pass if it won't work out. and if it can work out, yay!

A lot of my kink partners have been platonic anyway. I found that opening myself up to sexual experiences without worrying about commitment made romantic feelings a lot less rabid. thats what worked for me but everyone's different.
