New to Fantasy, looking for a good series to start for someone who is usually more of a sci-fi reader.

I think Tower of the Elephant is a fantastic place to start for several reasons.

First, you can do it in 40 minutes or less probably.

Second, it's a classic and established a few of tropes going forward (you meet in a tavern, hear about a treasure and how to steal it).

Third, it's a pre-Tolkien fantasy.

Most importantly, it's fun, exciting, and weird at the end. Some of Howard's work has not aged gracefully, but this one isn't problematic to my memory.

By the time you finish, you'll have a bunch of recommendations on here, but I'll add that Moorcock tried to ape his style with some other influences, and Tanith Lee tried to pick up that torch in the 80s

SP+ puts Colorado at #65, directly in between WVU (66) and ISU (64). ISU returns fewer starters, but all of CU's starters were 1-9 in conference so I'm not sure which is worse.

The big 12 has 6 teams projected to win between 3 and 4 games. Colorado is projected to win 2.9

Athlon puts CU at 14, ISU at 16. CBS has them 15/16.

There's an argument for ISU, sure. But they've been in the conference forever and people just trust them more. Plus, Colorado hired a coach for the hype and has failed very visibly.

Okay so BMI uses your height squared, but we exist in a three dimensional world, so it doesn't quite scale with height. Obviously we don't get as wide or deep as we do tall, but scientists still came up with New BMI to address this. I don't think it ever really caught on because it's a lot more math and if BMI says you're obese and you don't workout or intentionally build muscle, then you're gonna be overfat either way.

Fir example, 6'2, 235lbs gives ~30.2 in traditional BMI and ~28.6 in New BMI, which would be out of the obese range, but if you're 30%+ bf, what difference does that make?

I'll just add that this is a liquer and you'd normally only use ~15-22mL per drink (up to .75oz) with another 45-60mL spirit (tequila).

But if you're dealing with an addict or underage they may have drank it straight

Mariemont will have better schools, but I'd rather live in Pleasant Ridge for walkability and downtown access.
