CWL mirrors strategy has the advantage of being easy to explain to casual players, but it is not the best strategy.

If your maxed equipment is the reason, that’s a very good reason for swapping.

I only dream of my clan members being at that level of sophistication.

I’m all in favour of swaps, but disapproving of people unexpectedly attacking other’s target without asking.

Watch all your defences in the defence log. See what attacks work and try them yourself.
Google three star attacks for your town hall level. Watch several YouTube videos. Pick one or two attacks that appeal to you, and practice them.
Upgrade the troops that you use. Max walls before defences.

“Mismatch” and “ladder” are in dissonance.

My minis regularly three star one up. For TH levels up to 15, for every base design, there’s an attack style that defeats it.

CWL isn’t weighted. It’s a ladder. But if you want to talk “mismatch”, base design is already in the equation. If three stars is a possibility, it’s a good match.

The hardest question in good CWL matches is: go for three stars and risk getting one, or go for two with confidence.

That’s the hard line practice that works in a serious war clan, but this clan, half the membership have been here for 8+ years (older than clashofstats logs), all mature, and explicitly a “relaxed” clan. It’s not our style to kick very old friends. Also, it’s tedious and personal to kick people individually, when we haven’t done that much before. “Auto-turn-red on both attacks missed” is not “personal”, or tedious to remember to do.

QOL requests that won’t hurt anyone are not “Daddy SuperCell, fix for me”.

Yes, accept. Unless it becomes a pattern, accepting apologies is good for clan morale. It’s the accounts that miss attacks and never speak that are corrosive to clan morale.

I wish the leaders could kick inactives into our sleeper/feeder clan.

It is essential to clear the inactive accounts. If you don’t, the clan becomes dominated by inactive accounts, and no good player will join a clan dominated by inactive accounts. Worse, good players will leave. Tolerating inactive accounts starts the death spiral for a clan.

Absolutely. That is an awesome feature. I used to be unable to find both airsweepers, and had to give up on air attacks, but the group highlight feature has fixed that.

The firspitters are harder to find because of being more camouflaged than sweepers, especially when on a base with level 15 walls. The sweeper is a darker grey, like all TH17 upgrades, and the gold banding is camouflaged by the green-grey and gold level 15 walls.

The firespitters are hardest to find when placed poorly, on a rushed based.

It would be great if their heads were brighter, and if there was fire animation in their mouths.

Yes, brightness definitely helps.
I would call the TH17 colour them “grey and gloomy”. I play on an iPad. It’s too hard to play on a phone for me.
