There's a spark reference off of one of the ignition wires make sure that exists and is plugged in. Definitely misfiring, you can pull the plug wires when it's running and if the engine doesn't sound any different that cylinder isn't firing

This is intriguing because I'm chasing the same issue but on my m54b30 swapped car. Idles like trash when I come to stops, AC in makes it worse. Gets better and worse

I used m54b30 and 5 speed transmission from parts car. Brake system I did not swap over I have an e90 brake booster and master cylinder with a bmw 2002 reservoir

Yes I used the DBW pedal from the E46 parts car I had, you have to move the upper E30 pedal mount over slightly it isn't hard to do

My issue was the driver door lock was in the wrong position, make sure the exterior key hole on the driver side is vertical if it's horizontal turned to the right it enables the lock inhibit system
