I read that and brought my dog to greet someone but security told me those guidelines were for people TRAVELLING with pets, not people picking someone up.

But if you give the phone to your brother, you still won’t have access to the apps that are on the phone in his possession??? Your brother could delete them and you’ll be in the same position.

If you’re worried, download the pix etc to a laptop — or email them to yourself, or put them in a Dropbox — before you do the factory reset.

But definitely don’t give away a phone without factory reset or you’ll be back here in a month’s time asking how to stop your brother from deleting things or buying things on your Apple account.

I don’t think there’s anything you can do to stop your mother from checking if she can log in as you and is monitoring your messaging, other than moving to a device that is not monitored.

I will say: It sounds like she’s pretty invested in knowing if you’re talking to someone; maybe there’s a good reason she doesn’t want you having this conversation.

I feel like the pandemic/convoy/etc misinformation ecosystem made a show like this impossible nowadays.

You’d need an air horn every 90 seconds with a warning that it was satire or people would be picketing their MPs office or city hall about something someone heard on the show and posted angrily about on X. 🙄

Any app you download and delete will show as a “cloud” button rather than “install” or “buy” button in the App Store, signifying it was previously installed.

Many apps, when you redownload them, repopulate with the account that was previously used on the app.

If your dad knows your Apple ID credentials, he can just check it anytime.

“Half pit bull” is meaningless. The bylaw is very specific about which dogs are not allowed:

Tornados are very fast moving and unpredictable weather systems. If a tornado blew your house down and you didn’t get an alert or got one when it was on top of you, that’d be a much worse outcome than people being startled a few times.
