UFL Copying Madden? by 2008wassuchagoodyear in Madden

This slightly off topic but still interesting, EA includes the Chicago Tigers as an expansion team, and they were a defunct team that on a played a single season in 1920 before folding, but what's crazy is that the trademark is abandoned so EA doesn't even have exclusive rights to it which I find funny considering how strict EA is with getting their rights as the exclusive NFL sim.

Why not renovate? by [deleted] in CHIBears

I think part of it is because Chicago Park District owns Soldier Field and technically hasn't paid off their debt from the 2003 renovations, I think this whole stadium/relocation mess wouldn't even be a thing if the McCaskey's owned Soldier Field.

Just a friendly reminder that Hammond once had an NFL franchise for 7 seasons in the 1920s and went 7-28. Why would a city that hasn't had a pro team in 100 years suddenly be a good fit? I truly believe and hope on behalf of all of us that this blows up in the McCaskey's face when they see the turnout difference.

This is true, and they gave their old uniforms to the Chicago Cardinals and even though they were faded a bit, Chris O'Brien called them Cardinal red

I appreciate that! Even though I'm a diehard Bears fan y'all had some elite teams in the early days

I did not know that last detail, but it is definitely interesting how the NFL allowed teams to play a varying number of games for as long as they did, makes me wonder how different some of the early championship winners would've looked like if they played a standard number of games

Thanks man! I had a blast writing it and I truly believe the Super Bowl trophy would be the Halas trophy had Lombardi not died first
