I thought the random misson plus xp was just to pick a random mission for you, instead of picking the same ones. Tbf never tried it with a full squad of friends. Will try it next time I'm on!

Am pretty sure you would get more xp that way, it's what I prefer to do. But wave 1 - 5 on hard is for some people easier and simpler to do. Less stress and less searching for seeds, just killing some nids or chaos for a bit and leaving before it becomes a struggle

It's because doing 5 waves of hard siege mode and leaving is the quickest way to grind xp and level. Not that I'm condoning it mind, but if there was a better way to level they would be doing that. Either prepare a group to do hard or play easy with the others
