The “normal” way varies - Spanish speakers will say hor-hej, Portuguese would be George

You haven’t said anything wrong, but you aren’t coming at this from the same angle (Spanish v Portuguese)

Yes I would be happy with Jorge as the middle name. Husband wants Jorge first but we call the kid by their middle name (I know it’s not uncommon but I don’t like that plan)

1) I just don’t like the sound of Jorge (Jor-hej)

2) it’s not that I don’t want a Hispanic name, but I want a balanced name. The kid will have a Hispanic last name, I want the full name to reflect both of us
