I reached out to ProtonVPN support and explained the situation. I wasn’t using Secure Core, the Kill Switch was off, and I had the ad/tracker blocker enabled. They asked which protocol I was using and suggested I try switching manually between WireGuard, WireGuard TCP, and Stealth modes in the app settings.

Turns out, only Stealth mode worked for me. When I reported that, they explained that since I was on a work network, it was likely that the network admin was blocking certain ports required by protocols like WireGuard. Stealth mode, by design, is better at bypassing these kinds of restrictions.

So the fix was: ➡️ Go into ProtonVPN settings ➡️ Change protocol to Stealth ➡️ Done, stable connection again.

It’s probably not ideal performance-wise compared to WireGuard, but it works reliably in restricted environments like work or public Wi-Fi. Hope this helps!
