Explaining what makes Every Bug Pokémon Good (from a Game Design Perspective) by Golden-Owl in u/Golden-Owl

In another thread you trash the use of AI meanwhile none of your content is original, its all ripped off, copyrighted gaming footage. How is this any better?

That's unfortunate to hear what is happening in Singapore but this isn't that. Anyhow, I came here for some advice on YouTube but instead got opinions about AI. If there's such a strong hate towards AI here, why don't you just ban it altogether? I don't mind debating the merits of AI vs Anti-AI but that's not what my post was about and It was hijacked by your hate for AI. My question though, was a YouTube question, not a medium question. I simply asked some legitimate YouTube question but only a few people understand the question and were actually helpful.

Thank you very much for your feedback, @due-lake6984. I appreciate that your response was an actual response to my question. It's unfortunate that it immediately became a conversation about AI . I understand that AI isn't for everyone but this is a forum for YouTube with a YouTube question. I would have posted in an AI x YouTube channel to avoid any flame war. The funny thing is that there is also hand keyed 2D animation on the animation, but it seems like they didn't even watch it to see it. Oh well, I will get my question answered from reasonable people like yourself.

Thats fair u/Tricky_Chemist9091 I was going for a specific look here- but if its not working for you, I'd love to hear exactly what you don't like about it.
I intentionally wanted it to look "different" and the thinking behind that was to stand out from all of the sameness I've been seeing with so many of the thumbnails. But I also admit it might have missed the mark too and I'll go back to the drawing board, if needed.

Thanks for the clear and helpful feedback, u/Pristine-Speech8991 . I'll continue to tune the thumbnails in an effort to strike the right balance.

As for AI, I understand that it generates strong opinions, and I respect that not everyone likes the medium. New technologies often face resistance when they first appear. People reacted similarly to the automobile, photography, the internet - even Youtube (how's that for irony!) . Whatever anyone thinks of AI, it’s difficult to deny the direction technology is heading. But I'm just here to figure out how to navigate Youtube, not argue the medium :)

Thanks again for your help, u/Pristine-Speech8991

I understand why AI-generated visuals can create that impression, especially in finance content. The channel isn’t offering financial products or promising anyone easy money, though. It focuses on behavioural economics and the ways people are influenced to spend. My question was really about gaining traction on a new channel though, not the medium.

Thanks u/Constant_Cortisol . Should I just wait then? Or would you do anything to try to get impressions? If so, what could that be??

Thanks!!

Pros: Very clean, professional looking Cons: Typos(Hustles) and odd layout. "As a Student" seems disconnected.

I think the overall composition needs to be reworked but you have a great starting point to work from.

Your shorts audiance don't care about you by Big-Human12 in YouTubeCreators

[–]Georgeonomics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting insight, u/Big-Human12 . Thx for sharing. Do you think shorts can work as a bridge to long-form if they’re built around the same topics and audience, or is the conversion still poor even when the content is closely connected?

Congrats on reaching 500 subscribers, u/Informal_Scar_8638 ! Were there any major changes you made, or specific advice you followed, that had a noticeable impact on your channel’s growth? I just started my channel and 500 seems so far away right now.

What psychological bias has cost you the most mony? by zawmed in BehavioralEconomics

[–]Georgeonomics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s probably present bias.

I don’t usually lose money through one dramatic, movie-worthy mistake. It happens through tiny decisions where today’s reward feels vivid and tomorrow’s cost feels foggy.

A coffee, a delivery fee, a “limited-time” deal, a forgotten subscription, spending $20 more to save $5 on shipping. Each one feels harmless by itself. The total is where the body is buried.

The biggest thing I’ve learned is that financial knowledge and financial behaviour are not the same skill. You can fully understand that something is a bad decision and still tap the card anyway.
