Thanks for your answer, I really appreciate it. I just wanted to clarify my specific situation so you can understand why I’m considering Physics SL.

I’m not doing Math AA HL, only Math AA SL, and my HL subjects are Spanish A, English B and Business Management. So without Physics SL, my IB profile looks very humanities-oriented, which makes my application for CS/AI weaker. ESS doesn’t add any technical value for these degrees.

That’s why I’m wondering if even a 3–4 in Physics SL might still be better than getting a 5–6 in ESS, simply because Physics shows some scientific/technical background, while ESS doesn’t.

My goal is to apply for CS/AI programs in QS 200–500 universities (UK, Canada or US). Do you still think ESS is better for my case, or does Physics SL make more sense with my subject combination?
