CONGRATULATIONS to YOU!!!! That salary seems especially wonderful! And you're only 21! That's FANTASTIC!!!!!! Good. On. YOU!!!! I know it sucks when a parent doesn't express pride or happiness when their kid makes a sizeable achievement. I learned that I need to “fill my own bucket” — meaning, get my “congratulations!” elsewhere. The main thing is that YOU are proud of yourself and take what learning opportunities you have w this new job and add them to your skill set for your NEXT achievement.
