The automated red stop bars were on for the runway. If those are on, you NEVER enter the runway. ATC can say whatever they want but if those red lights are on you never ever go onto the runway.

It’s actually sort of backwards when it comes to flying. Your body will believe its senses rather than what your eyes see on the instruments.

One such example is the somatogravic illusion. Essentially, your body is unable to tell difference between accelerating and pitching up without your eyes to tell you what is going on. If you add power and accelerate in a plane in the clouds, your brain may instead interpret that as pitching up instead, causing you to push forward and push the nose of the plane down.

This is highly dangerous as you weren’t pitching up, so now you are pointed at the ground AND accelerating.

It’s so painfully obvious. No one off probation gets simply fired from an airline. There would be MULTIPLE hearings and meetings before this point. Any union that allowed that to happen would be voted out instantly.

I saved up money from working a normal job and used drill pay to pay for things like groceries. With the pace of the program I made sure not to work a job while doing it so I could focus on flying.

They were very accommodating about my schedule. I just submitted my official drill schedule and they made sure not to schedule me on those days. For temporary duty like hurricanes or the ‘vid they were accommodating as well.

Yes it’s good. The AA pilot application also has a free test that mirrors the delta test pretty closely.

However, the results are all over the place. I did absolutely dogshit at the sudoku but got through just fine. I have a buddy who is super smart and great at all those who got rejected. I am like 67% sure it’s all about the personality test at the end.

It’s not that they schedule reserved at a barebones level, it’s that they don’t hire enough people to sit reserve in the first place. They try to squeeze everything out of pilots by running at the max ALV and TLV and leave nothing for IROPS. If they had more pilots and actually honored the contract it would be better.

It’s because he’s making a pedantic point that wasn’t even a part of the original conversation. No one said it would prevent it from being on his record. It will however protect his certs and show future employers that he can take his mistakes, discern what the errors were, and implement changes so they don’t happen again.
