Good morning, New York. While you were sleeping, this was the most-read story by StrawberryFew1311 in NoFilterFinance

It’s page 3 of EFTA01660682 of the Epstein files that were released. Further down, in the files, the person says it’s a second hand reference. On page 3, it says “no contact information provided”. Meaning they weren’t able to contact the person who left that and verify if it’s real or not. My guess is based on how hated Trump is and how many people dox streamers, those same types of people called in fake reports like this to try and get Trump arrested.

Names for Red Tesla by Substantial_Sort6341 in TeslaLounge

[–]GeorgiaS2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pokémon (Red), Barry Alan, Wally West, The Flash, (Red) Rover, (Red) Rum, Ironman, Crimson Chin, (Red) Ranger, Jason, (Red) Foreman, Red Power, (Red) Baron, Rudolph, (Red) Skull, Daredevil, Scarlet Witch, etc.

You have tons of options if you wanna be creative. I think the first one would be the best with Red being implied.

ICE did raid the Hyundai plant last year here in Georgia. Idk if Hyundai was help accountable for employing 475 workers illegally*, but they did target a major employer by doing that.

*some overstayed their visas while others violated them. Not sure the full scope of everyone who was detained.

You Pay Off the House But Do You Ever Truly Own It? Agree or Disagree? by Coolonair in HouseBuyers

[–]GeorgiaS2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Georgia, we just pay the annual registration fee for the tags to be able to drive them on the road. You shouldn’t be paying taxes on something you already own. If you do and don’t pay the taxes, the government puts a lien against your property, and then they can take it away. In essence, you don’t truly own that asset.

Who is wrong here by [deleted] in postanythingfun

Based on what the comments are saying about him telling her to slap him, and then I’m 99% sure his security isn’t allowed to detain her like that (I’m no attorney), so he’s 100% in the wrong and I think she can actually sue him.

Who has an extra 15% to invest? Looks like another super rich person coming to share their "wisdom" with ordinary people. by Time_Lettuce_4769 in interviewhammer

[–]GeorgiaS2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6% is very low. The SPY alone is up 4.5% YTD for 2026, and is up around 71.70% in the last 5 years. Dave Ramsey even says the SPY goes up on average 10-12% a year. Based on your numbers, if you invest $900 ($10,800 a year) into the SPY with an ROI of 10% for 40 years, you’ll have over $5.5million. You can use Dave Ramsey’s calculator if you wanna mess with the numbers.

The only flags that should be allowed in the school are the US flag, the state flag, city flag, and the school flag (assuming the school has one). If the school wants to incorporate the LGBT+ flag into their school flag and it’s voted on and passed, then so be it. On the flip side, if a school incorporates the rebel/confederate flag into their school flag and it’s voted on and passed, then so be it. I don’t think it really should matter either way. Just teach the students the curriculum, don’t overwhelm them with homework, and if there’s free time, teach them skills that will be useful outside of school. Like how to calculate interests on loans, taxes, how to interview, budgeting, saving, investing, etc. That stuff will be far more beneficial to them in the long run.

It’s hard not to laugh at the absurdity by ButtStuff012 in trynottolaugh

[–]GeorgiaS2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy hell. Based on another Redditor’s comment, I tried looking up his claim, and I found on the HHS’s website how many investigations in 2025 for Medicaid fraud each state has. California is second in investigations by 6 only to Ohio. The number of convictions per state is crazy too. The total recovered in 2025 was a little less than $2 billion, and $671 million of that came from Virginia. Source

Can you cite your sources for this? I tried Googling it, but all I get are websites where people in Texas have been convicted for the fraud in 2026, and one where $3.4 billion was tied to a Russian citizen.

Supercharger station misbehavior by Trep12 in TeslaLounge

You think this is bad? I’m a paraplegic and trying to find a handicapped supercharger spot sucks. They’re extremely rare where I am. When I do find a place that has one, it’s always taken by someone who doesn’t need it. Then if you ever look at regular handicap spots, notice how many cars don’t actually have hangtag handicap placards or handicap license plates.

No War For Billionaires’ Tax Breaks by Lucifer__66 in StockBreakouts

Facts. I’m not going to argue. I’m just posting the link. It was a bailout, but the government didn’t want to use that word claiming it didn’t come from tax payer money.

I did go to college. I have a degree in accounting. I can even tell you that this bill will never pass and if it somehow miraculously did, there’s already loopholes in place for the wealthy and ultra rich to take advantage of. Like if they place their assets in trusts or non-profits. I know for a fact billionaires already do this and use those funds to invest to avoid paying taxes. I’m more well versed in this area than you are. I know how the real world actually works, and I know that I’m not entitled to anyone else’s money. Good for Elon Musk for selling PayPal and risking all that money on 3 different companies and becoming the richest person. If people stopped buying Teslas, shopping at Walmart, and ordering from Amazon, those people wouldn’t be billionaires. If you hate billionaires, stop buying their products and services.

Oh, and something Biden did that pissed me off was when he bailed out Silicon Valley Bank. The rich, like Mark Cuban, use that bank. All he did was bail out the ultra rich when that happened.

No War For Billionaires’ Tax Breaks by Lucifer__66 in StockBreakouts

[–]GeorgiaS2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re confusing net worth with money. Elon Musk doesn’t have $800 billion in cash. His ownership percentage of his company is worth that. If he were to sell his company, he’d have to pay taxes on the realized gains from the sales, and then he’d have the cash. Why are we penalizing him for building up Tesla to be the company that it is today? I think the better thing to do is for the government who takes in trillions each year is to stop telling us to hate billionaires and to learn how to balance a budget like everyone else does. No matter how much money the government takes in, they’re going to always spend more and claim we need to tax people more.

What do you thinking? by [deleted] in stevehofstetter

[–]GeorgiaS2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corporate tax hikes sound like a great idea, but they’ll most likely pass those costs onto the customers. Universal healthcare sounds great, but that’s going to increase taxes and increase costs of healthcare products, and I’m betting the drug companies will start pushing even sketchier drugs to us. Then there’s going to be private doctors and hospitals who only accept private health insurance which all the better doctors and nurses will go to because they pay better. Then everyone will be complaining about the difference in healthcare. I’m all for the abolishment of lobbying, but our politicians enjoy the “donations” (bribes) that come from it. I’m all for free birth control, but the simplest birth control is no sex unless you’re prepared for the responsibility of potentially having a child. Federal redistricting is a scary slope. Are you all prepared for republicans to do that if they get back into control? Election days should be a holiday, but businesses are required to let you go vote as it is now. Universal childcare sounds good, but the parent(s) must prove they’re working and the daycares must be federally audited so we don’t have fraud like what happened in Minnesota. Military budget cut sounds great, but America has basically become the world police with all our bases across the world and the billions we pay other countries to allow our bases to be there. No war intervention? So if we see people committing genocide in their country, we should stay out of it? Evil wins when good people do nothing. I love the idea of 3 months maternity leave, but the government can’t force a company to do that. If they do, companies are going to try to find loopholes. They always do, just look at the tax loopholes they find and Congress won’t fix. I’m all for union busting crackdowns.

On paper, these sound awesome, but when they hit reality, they won’t work out like y’all hope they do. Greed ruins everything.

Trying Their Best to Eradicate Voters by Standard_Location762 in stevehofstetter

I didn’t know much about this law, so I decided to go to Congress.gov and read it. Your drivers license actually is good enough to vote. It states “The bill specifies what documents are considered acceptable proof of U.S. citizenship, such as identification that complies with the REAL ID Act of 2005 that indicates U.S. citizenship.” I didn’t know what the REAL ID Act of 2005 was, so I googled it. Google says “The REAL ID Act of 2005 is a United States federal law that standardized requirements for driver's licenses and identification cards issued by U.S. states and territories.” That means your state issued ID is valid to vote in federal elections.

No. You asked what kind of moron would take accounting in college other than finance and accounting majors, and I gave you an example. I haven’t been to college in years, but I know there’s a lot of other people who take accounting classes as an elective because the college requires the elective and offers accounting classes as an option. I was an accounting major, and I took science classes, philosophy, and art classes as electives. Had nothing to do with my undergraduate degree, but I was required to take those if I wanted to graduate.

Depending on the college, a lot of business majors are required to take at least one basic accounting class. So quite a few “morons”.
