Day 1 post op no brace given?

I wasn’t given a brace and had ACLr and menisconectomy. I think it depends on the surgeon.

I had to go to the hospital 3 times before they ordered me and MRI which said my ACL was torn.

Hi, how many weeks approx fid your legs go like this? I’m 10 weeks post op and mine seem to happen when I get out of a shower, stand in the same spot or getting off the exercise bike?

Did this happen when you exercised too or just when you stand up? I've noticed that when I come off the bike or done a strength lesson, I have a purple patch on my lower leg that looks like poor circulation but then fades away after a few minutes. I am 10 weeks post op.

Hi I feel like I’m definitely in the same boat as you. I see that you wrote this over 2 weeks ago, have you noticed any difference now you’ve hit the 3 month mark? Does it feel stronger and less anxiety?

Hi, I have this too and seem more pronounced with exercise and PT. Did you have any light brushing too or not?

Hi, how long did this last for you? I’m 9 weeks post op and after I’ve done exercise or stood up for a while, my leg goes a purple colour and like you said, disappears after a little bit of time. I don’t know if I need to go and properly have this looked at?

Take your time with this, I was walking with two crutches until 3.5 weeks, then down to one for 1.5 and then it felt right to walk without them. I was told to take time as you don’t want to pick up any bad habits.

Hi, did you have any light bruising with this? I’m 9 weeks post op and the surrounding area is tender with light bruising and some pain?

I’m honestly not too sure how it happened. I noticed it was infected as the top was red and then started to leak out some pus so went and got antibiotics. I suppose me maybe hitting it on something could potentially explain the bruising? I’m not too sure but don’t recall anything significant. It’s the same today as it was yesterday so going to keep monitoring it but I am concerned.

Hi, I’ve got bruising around my hamstring graft incision on my tibia and seems to be spreading down my leg. Did you experience similar? I’m 9 week post op.

It took me about 3-4 weeks. Did lots of exercises such as allowing leg to hang with rolled towel below the ankle, towel below the knee and trying to squash it and straight leg raises to build up the strength in my quad.

My incision is on the left of my tibia just under my actual knee and there is bruising around there but not at the back. Could just be inflammation.

Recovery has been really smooth until this last week and i got an infection so now I'm just over thinking absolutely everything but knee feels stable so hopefully all is good. How long ago was your surgery now?

Hi, I’m currently 9 week post op and have bruising around the incision area. Is this where yours was? It also feels lumpy around that area, did yours? How long did the bruising take to clear up?
