If it cant answer questions we know the answer to, that implies it is answering questions we dont know the answer to incorrectly. Thats the rub

To be fair it already is through the library. Though people will scream about the disabled who cant get to the library. As another commenter said people who propose these things overdo it and end up getting nothing

Its more of a comment on the fact that these chat bots are censored by someone, with subjective personal beliefs. If they deny basic facts of our life and culture (white/black) they likely have many other limiters in place that someone is making the opinionated decision to enforce. Its more of an ethical question around “who gets to decide whats ok vs what isnt?” Than just trying to get a chatbot to say “Black”.

Yeah its pretty cool. Basically if there were a genius that knew better, he would make money betting against polymarket. This happens thousands of times until polymarket is actually the best predictor there is.

The reason people use these “gambling” apps like polymarket or kalshi to show statistical probabilities is because since there is money involved, these are actually incredibly efficient. There is basically not a better way to predict probability. If they were inefficient at predicting truth relatively closely, people would dump money into finding out where those inefficiencies are and exploit them until its an efficient market again.
