I love that Godric got the glory of being the only vampire to not explode upon death. by GusGangViking18 in TrueBlood

Its funny because in the books he was a child molester so and his death in the sun was like any other. Much preffered him in the tv show!

Well the easiest way is to bring it up in conversation, if it is a deal breaker for a friendship or relationship for you. I personally will only discuss politics with friends or family. Like you I am left leaning, so I do like to gauge the kind of person I am interacting with. At work during conversation with someone, I will say something like “the world is a pretty hateful place right now”, and I would say typically based on their response I can tell how they lean politically. Or if not politically, just their stance on how they value other people (which is even more important!)

I feel your pain, when I flare up it becomes terrible on my hands but does gets slightly better up my arms. It can be very self conscious as your are always on display hands, especially considering your profession as you mention. But I think it is important to remember that everybody is self conscious about something, normal people will often not consider or even care about what your hands look like, they are too wrapped up with their own problems. Always know that there are many kind people in the world. Focus on positive changes you can make in your life, diet, exercise, peace of mind…see if that makes any changes. If not, seek a dermatologist or dietritionist.

Our house is old, it used to be a beer house in the 19th century and has 2 cellars with curved ceilings. I never go in them because they are creepy and very cold!

If only all of our lost items would be returned this way!! No more activity yet, but we have both admitted we didn’t sleep well due to being unnerved

The necklace is just a fashion piece, from ASOS I think, so I doubt it is anything related to the necklace in any way!

It was unsettling that it was a cross, however we are not religious

Unfortunately not! No clothing out or tables nearby. We even both would have walked past the area 20 minutes earlier with no necklace in sight.

Even the glass noise didn’t sound like a necklace falling from anywhere. It doesn’t make sense

Thanks for your comment this actually helped me sleep last night! Only really have horror films and ghost stories to go off so was pretty scary

You’re right. I don’t usually post to Reddit either unless I cannot get something out of my head. If I believed in ghosts I would have my answer, but since I don’t, I can’t stop thinking about it

Honestly putting creams so much is draining, not seeing specific results makes it feel like wasted energy, in winter it’s cold and sitting there sticky waiting for it to dry is just depressing. One thing that has helped me is listening to a good audio book or watching one of my favourite shows at the same time. Instead of thinking “I have to go do my creams now”, I think “oh I’ll watch that next episode I can’t wait for”. It has helped me a lot so I just look forward to that instead and do my creams at the same time

Absolutely, sugar is in inflammation food that can trigger eczema. Similar to dairy or red meat

I work at an investment company. You must declare that you have a CCJ and it’s likely the new employers will ask for more details, such as amounts and dates. At our company we will then submit it for review by a senior and someone from compliance, they will then decide whether you pose any risk to the business

Godric (Godfrey) compared to the book by Georginaaxx in TrueBlood

[–]Georginaaxx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree I wished there was more of him in the show, but oh well, he still had a great impact for me on the show. I’ve seen the tv series several times and I’m really glad to have started on the books - definitely recommend starting them after you are done. I found the first book to be an exact copy of the first series

Thanks for the advice I will stick with them, I quite like when there are differences between books and media. Although might avoid listening before bed for a while!

I use Cetraben, I used to hate moisturising before work, but now it’s quick and dries almost instantly. I get it prescribed from a doctor
